Doctor joined the conference <1:15:08 PM> Mukund-Patient joined the conference <1:15:08 PM> Angie joined the conference <1:15:08 PM> Mukund-Patient: today <1:15:11 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay Mikuni <1:15:14 PM> Tanner - Doctor: patients and as we chatted through everything so far I pray that or I'm asking <1:15:20 PM> Tanner - Doctor: so I saw on the forms that you <1:15:25 PM> Tanner - Doctor: said that you drink a good amount on the weekends can you tell me a little bit about that <1:15:31 PM> Tanner - Doctor: sure <1:15:32 PM> Mukund-Patient: um yeah you know just <1:15:35 PM> Mukund-Patient: we can start just want to have a good time <1:15:40 PM> Mukund-Patient: I don't think I'm drinking too many Maybe <1:15:43 PM> Mukund-Patient: six seven Friday night Saturday night and Sunday during the day because you know guttal got to lock in for work on Monday morning <1:15:54 PM> Tanner - Doctor: so what do you what do you like about the drinking <1:15:58 PM> Tanner - Doctor: do you say there's any positive aspects to it <1:16:00 PM> Mukund-Patient: it hasn't affected my life in any way so <1:16:05 PM> Mukund-Patient: oh yeah definitely you know you know makes the weekend is a little bit more fun a little bit more something to look forward to <1:16:08 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay <1:16:17 PM> Mukund-Patient: yeah <1:16:21 PM> Mukund-Patient: right <1:16:22 PM> Tanner - Doctor: um you mentioned that you said you haven't had any negative aspects hasn't affected your life at all <1:16:28 PM> Tanner - Doctor: uh as <1:16:29 PM> Mukund-Patient: um <1:16:30 PM> Tanner - Doctor: anyone I guess particularly your wife ever mentioned anything about your drinking <1:16:35 PM> Tanner - Doctor: mmm <1:16:37 PM> Mukund-Patient: I don't think so I I think we have a similar drinking routine <1:16:44 PM> Mukund-Patient: so I don't think she's really mentioned anything about it <1:16:45 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay have you ever noticed any physical effects feeling hungover or anything negative like that <1:16:48 PM> Mukund-Patient: everyone gets hungover <1:16:54 PM> Tanner - Doctor: sure <1:16:58 PM> Tanner - Doctor: yeah <1:16:58 PM> Mukund-Patient: I will say like sometimes like if I go out to drink <1:17:02 PM> Mukund-Patient: maybe I'll have to you know <1:17:05 PM> Mukund-Patient: back because I didn't plan ahead and get an Uber so <1:17:10 PM> Mukund-Patient: that's about it but <1:17:13 PM> Tanner - Doctor: do you feel that <1:17:15 PM> Tanner - Doctor: with your <1:17:17 PM> Tanner - Doctor: like when you drive back to your worry about that about what could happen possibly <1:17:21 PM> Mukund-Patient: um not really I like to say I'm a good drunk driver so <1:17:23 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay yeah okay <1:17:34 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know from my perspective as your doctor obviously that amount of drinking seems like a little bit high so <1:17:44 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know we just we worried about the possible long-term effects as well as things that could happen would there be anything that could happen that would make you want to <1:17:54 PM> Tanner - Doctor: cut back on your drinking at all can you anticipate anything like that <1:17:55 PM> Mukund-Patient: um <1:17:58 PM> Tanner - Doctor: mm-hmm <1:18:00 PM> Mukund-Patient: I guess sure you know like if I get multiple DUIs or something they take away my license you know or <1:18:11 PM> Mukund-Patient: if I were to go to work <1:18:15 PM> Mukund-Patient: either still like spelling like alcohol or <1:18:19 PM> Mukund-Patient: drunk itself that would definitely have a big impact on family life <1:18:24 PM> Mukund-Patient: you know I don't want to be in a position where I'm hurting my family or anyone else <1:18:25 PM> Tanner - Doctor: I think that's a great point <1:18:31 PM> Mukund-Patient: for sure so you know if anything like that happens I could see you know changes needing to be made but thankfully none of those have happened so far so I don't really think we need to make change make any changes <1:18:45 PM> Mukund-Patient: right <1:18:49 PM> Tanner - Doctor: it sounds like you're you know you enjoy the drinking on the weekends and haven't had any major consequences so far but if something were to happen where it would affect your job or your ability to drive or your family negatively in any way then you would consider stopping or or cutting back significantly <1:19:00 PM> Mukund-Patient: right <1:19:08 PM> Tanner - Doctor: have you ever thought about <1:19:12 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know <1:19:14 PM> Tanner - Doctor: if you wait until something like that does happen versus <1:19:14 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know <1:19:19 PM> Tanner - Doctor: making some changes to avoid that ahead of time <1:19:23 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay okay <1:19:28 PM> Mukund-Patient: I really <1:19:28 PM> Mukund-Patient: I guess I have thought about it but <1:19:31 PM> Mukund-Patient: feel like it right now <1:19:33 PM> Mukund-Patient: it's like a four or three <1:19:35 PM> Tanner - Doctor: um if you were to say on a scale of 1 to 10 how motivated you would be to cut back on drinking if zero is not at all and 10 is I'll stop today what do you think you'd say <1:19:50 PM> Tanner - Doctor: if something were to happen at work or while you were driving <1:19:52 PM> Mukund-Patient: well I suppose it would be you know some it would kind of depend on what happened you know if it was like like a written up or something closer to seven or eight but like if it was like I don't know I ran someone over in a <1:19:58 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know that negatively impacted your family like we just discussed <1:20:02 PM> Tanner - Doctor: what do you think that scale would be at that time <1:20:06 PM> Tanner - Doctor: yeah <1:20:21 PM> Mukund-Patient: drunken fit probably like a 12 you know <1:20:26 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay so this you know as we're talking sounds like again kind of reiterating the fact that <1:20:30 PM> Mukund-Patient: mm-hmm right <1:20:35 PM> Tanner - Doctor: far no negative consequences don't really feel a major amount of <1:20:41 PM> Tanner - Doctor: motivation to change but if something negative were to happen particularly something very serious then you would really consider changing <1:20:50 PM> Tanner - Doctor: a question I would have is if those things did happen say it was one of the more severe ones like while you were driving hitting someone or something like that <1:20:52 PM> Mukund-Patient: I don't think you'll be very easy to come back from <1:21:02 PM> Tanner - Doctor: how easy do you think that would be to come back from Once that's already occurred <1:21:08 PM> Tanner - Doctor: you know whether how that affects your life <1:21:11 PM> Tanner - Doctor: if you were to hurt somebody while driving <1:21:14 PM> Tanner - Doctor: mmm <1:21:22 PM> Mukund-Patient: um you know it'd be pretty much over at that point <1:21:27 PM> Mukund-Patient: yeah I'd say so <1:21:28 PM> Tanner - Doctor: it sounds like otherwise you have a pretty happy life is that correct <1:21:32 PM> Tanner - Doctor: and also sounds like you're motivated to protect your family and provide for them <1:21:35 PM> Mukund-Patient: right <1:21:43 PM> Tanner - Doctor: it sounds like it would be pretty important to make sure not something like that never happened <1:21:47 PM> Tanner - Doctor: so after we've chatted a little bit just theoretical hypotheticals <1:21:57 PM> Tanner - Doctor: know initially you said maybe three is that right how motivated you were <1:21:57 PM> Mukund-Patient: right <1:22:02 PM> Tanner - Doctor: just thinking through any of those things change that at all for you on the scale <1:22:02 PM> Mukund-Patient: here <1:22:06 PM> Mukund-Patient: maybe a little bit <1:22:07 PM> Tanner - Doctor: mmm <1:22:12 PM> Tanner - Doctor: okay <1:22:12 PM> Mukund-Patient: maybe closer to four or five that it's <1:22:18 PM> Mukund-Patient: I it's something for me to for me to think about going going into the future is that really the kind of life I want to live <1:22:24 PM> Tanner - Doctor: right <1:22:27 PM> Mukund-Patient: yeah is there anything you can do to help me out with that <1:22:28 PM> Tanner - Doctor: yeah there's a medicines and other support groups things plenty of things we can refer you for as well as stuff we can prescribe there's a lot of different avenues for treatment which is great and I think <1:22:33 PM> Mukund-Patient: it <1:22:47 PM> Tanner - Doctor: it was a question I was going to ask but I kind of seems like it's slipping my mind <1:22:53 PM> Tanner - Doctor: I guess are we all done <1:22:56 PM> Tanner - Doctor: he came back on ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at May 1, 2025, 1:22:59 PM
