Patient: living life I think <2:11:59 PM> Mukund - Doctor: here <2:12:01 PM> Tanner - Patient: I mean it's a lot of medicines I don't like taking medicines sometimes I feel like medicines are just a Band-Aid to the problem <2:12:05 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:12:08 PM> Tanner - Patient: and <2:12:09 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm why do you not take them all <2:12:10 PM> Tanner - Patient: honest with you I don't really take them all <2:12:13 PM> Tanner - Patient: it's just too many to remember I just don't like taking pills really <2:12:17 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm okay what do you think would help you <2:12:22 PM> Tanner - Patient: um <2:12:27 PM> Mukund - Doctor: feel better about taking them <2:12:31 PM> Mukund - Doctor: I'd say that again <2:12:32 PM> Tanner - Patient: I don't really know to be honest I don't truth is I don't want to take them <2:12:38 PM> Tanner - Patient: truth is I don't really want to take them just <2:12:40 PM> Mukund - Doctor: okay <2:12:43 PM> Tanner - Patient: don't really see the benefit I guess specially if my labs haven't changed <2:12:44 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:12:49 PM> Mukund - Doctor: right they they stayed bad sorry I I should have added that part <2:12:53 PM> Tanner - Patient: here <2:12:56 PM> Mukund - Doctor: I know you said that medication seemed like a Band-Aid fix <2:12:56 PM> Tanner - Patient: mm-hmm <2:13:02 PM> Mukund - Doctor: think that a permanent fix would be for that <2:13:03 PM> Tanner - Patient: well <2:13:09 PM> Tanner - Patient: I guess probably <2:13:13 PM> Tanner - Patient: maybe losing some weight could help <2:13:18 PM> Mukund - Doctor: yeah what do you do for exercise <2:13:20 PM> Tanner - Patient: no not much I <2:13:23 PM> Tanner - Patient: walk around at my job <2:13:26 PM> Tanner - Patient: and that's pretty much most of it but when I get home I'm just kind of tired I just watched watch TV <2:13:34 PM> Tanner - Patient: I think I could eat better for sure or maybe you could prescribe those epic for me <2:13:35 PM> Mukund - Doctor: okay <2:13:36 PM> Mukund - Doctor: what do you think would help you lose some of that weight <2:13:42 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:13:46 PM> Mukund - Doctor: um I don't think insurance would cover that for you unless you wanted to pay 3,000 dollars a month out of pocket <2:13:48 PM> Tanner - Patient: really <2:13:54 PM> Tanner - Patient: probably not <2:13:57 PM> Mukund - Doctor: right <2:13:59 PM> Tanner - Patient: well it doesn't seem like it's impacting it right now but I know that you can have like heart attacks or something from <2:14:01 PM> Mukund - Doctor: what <2:14:06 PM> Mukund - Doctor: do you think not controlling some of these chronic conditions like coronary artery disease blood pressure obesity things like that how would that impact your life <2:14:28 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:14:31 PM> Tanner - Patient: cholesterol I know that <2:14:33 PM> Tanner - Patient: definitely <2:14:33 PM> Tanner - Patient: no I don't want to have a heart attack <2:14:35 PM> Mukund - Doctor: it and you're okay with that <2:14:38 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mmm so <2:14:42 PM> Tanner - Patient: are all these medicines supposed to help all that <2:14:45 PM> Mukund - Doctor: what could we what changes could we make to help you <2:14:51 PM> Mukund - Doctor: with <2:14:53 PM> Mukund - Doctor: fixing some of those issues like cholesterol and blood pressure before they <2:15:00 PM> Mukund - Doctor: manifest and something we don't want <2:15:03 PM> Mukund - Doctor: it yes <2:15:07 PM> Tanner - Patient: well <2:15:13 PM> Tanner - Patient: maybe I could <2:15:15 PM> Tanner - Patient: try to figure out how to take them I just <2:15:19 PM> Tanner - Patient: students are so many I forget some of them sometimes and <2:15:23 PM> Tanner - Patient: that's tough <2:15:24 PM> Mukund - Doctor: yeah do you have any sort of pill bottle or <2:15:32 PM> Mukund - Doctor: schedule bottle thingy to help you with organizing them <2:15:35 PM> Tanner - Patient: know I usually just keep the bottles on the <2:15:40 PM> Tanner - Patient: nightstand and then <2:15:43 PM> Tanner - Patient: to remember which ones for what and then I'll take the blood pressure medicines sometimes but <2:15:49 PM> Tanner - Patient: sometimes I've forgotten what the other ones are for so I don't take them <2:15:50 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm okay well we can definitely go over what each of them are for kind of help you remember that and I would suggest getting some sort of organizer to help you <2:15:53 PM> Tanner - Patient: oh <2:16:11 PM> Mukund - Doctor: a interested in <2:16:14 PM> Tanner - Patient: I think either you or me froze for a little bit what did you ask about being interested in <2:16:14 PM> Mukund - Doctor: um any sort of organizer to help you keep track of what you're supposed to take and when <2:16:25 PM> Tanner - Patient: sure yeah I mean if something can make it a little easier I'm definitely <2:16:30 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:16:36 PM> Tanner - Patient: I could try it <2:16:36 PM> Mukund - Doctor: okay and How likely would you say you are on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being I will absolutely do it 100% of the time <2:16:38 PM> Tanner - Patient: um maybe five <2:16:52 PM> Mukund - Doctor: okay and why not a seven or eight <2:16:57 PM> Tanner - Patient: oh just because I it's just hard to remember all those so I'm wearing that I'll miss doses if I actually do <2:16:58 PM> Mukund - Doctor: here <2:17:05 PM> Tanner - Patient: try to take them all and just feels like a lot to remember <2:17:10 PM> Mukund - Doctor: and <2:17:13 PM> Mukund - Doctor: how do you think it would impact <2:17:17 PM> Mukund - Doctor: here your condition prognosis If instead of taking it seven days a week you only for you only forgot like once or twice a week and took it the other five or six times <2:17:26 PM> Tanner - Patient: here <2:17:32 PM> Tanner - Patient: to take it every day <2:17:34 PM> Mukund - Doctor: uh yeah let's say like you know like of course the goal is to take it every day but sometimes you forget <2:17:43 PM> Mukund - Doctor: do you think that's better than not taking it at all <2:17:47 PM> Mukund - Doctor: mm-hmm is that something you'd be willing to try <2:17:47 PM> Tanner - Patient: yeah I think so probably especially if it's like most days feels like that would be <2:17:53 PM> Tanner - Patient: could be good overall <2:17:56 PM> Tanner - Patient: oh yeah I can I can definitely try I just to try to build up the habit of <2:18:05 PM> Tanner - Patient: you know doing it consistently taking them <2:18:09 PM> Tanner - Patient: when they're supposed to be taken you know <2:18:18 PM> Mukund - Doctor: how do you ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at May 1, 2025, 2:18:24 PM
