medication <5:08:47 PM> Trevor Leon: I'm <5:08:47 PM> Trevor Leon: you know <5:08:50 PM> Alex Johnston: okay what about it what about is not going all the way <5:08:52 PM> Trevor Leon: glad we increased it but I you know I don't know maybe I might need another increase here it's just not gone all the way <5:08:59 PM> Trevor Leon: so <5:09:05 PM> Trevor Leon: you know when I first came in I was really depressed and pretty stressed out and I think the medication has helped and then the recent increase in doses helped out as well but it's still present so I'm still having some you know sadness and anxiety and a lot of stress going on <5:09:25 PM> Alex Johnston: okay <5:09:30 PM> Alex Johnston: um out of the things that we've discussed before what what do you think can help with those <5:09:35 PM> Trevor Leon: we talked about <5:09:35 PM> Trevor Leon: well you know <5:09:38 PM> Alex Johnston: okay why not <5:09:40 PM> Trevor Leon: first trying to get some exercise and make some Lifestyle Changes getting out talking to friends and stuff and you know definitely the medication which I'm pretty reliable so I take that every day never miss any doses or anything I know we talked in the past about you know talking to somebody professionally about it but I just haven't done that haven't really felt a need to <5:10:08 PM> Trevor Leon: um you know just being on the medication I feel like that should take care of it and I have been feeling better with the increased dosage but just it's still not gone so I've kind of been putting it off <5:10:16 PM> Alex Johnston: okay <5:10:25 PM> Alex Johnston: what do you what so you mentioned you feel like the medication should be able to take care of it <5:10:31 PM> Trevor Leon: mm-hmm <5:10:34 PM> Alex Johnston: from what I'm hearing it's not necessarily doing as much as you would like is that correct <5:10:35 PM> Trevor Leon: yeah yeah I think so <5:10:42 PM> Alex Johnston: okay and um doing <5:10:45 PM> Trevor Leon: you <5:11:02 PM> Trevor Leon: like I said you know I talked to friends about stuff and I don't get too in-depth but honestly I just don't know if if talking to anyone's gonna help professionally <5:11:14 PM> Trevor Leon: you know I've just seen in the movies you kind of lay on the couch and you you talk to somebody and eventually you're supposed to get better I don't know how that helps Johnston: if <5:11:37 PM> Alex Johnston: say if <5:11:38 PM> Trevor Leon: I mean yeah that's a good point I guess at this point you know we've done the medication increase the dose and it's still there so I guess that is why I'm back to get more medication but also discuss how can I actually make the symptoms go away for good <5:11:39 PM> Alex Johnston: you were to go to therapy and it did help with these symptoms you found out it did help with your symptoms would you be willing more willing to how to go regularly <5:11:49 PM> Alex Johnston: yeah absolutely and I think that's a shared goal with me for you and I and so you know we want to make sure we have everything in our toolbox that we can use and <5:12:17 PM> Trevor Leon: problems <5:12:21 PM> Trevor Leon: something that <5:12:22 PM> Alex Johnston: going to therapy I don't it doesn't need to be <5:12:25 PM> Trevor Leon: come back <5:12:28 PM> Alex Johnston: um it doesn't need to be something that <5:12:31 PM> Alex Johnston: necessarily <5:12:34 PM> Alex Johnston: in our mind causes us resistance to like hey this is therapy I have all these you know you've expressed some concerns about therapy and thinking it might not work but I would just want to make sure that we were not <5:12:49 PM> Trevor Leon: people <5:12:51 PM> Alex Johnston: um artificially <5:12:54 PM> Alex Johnston: um cutting that Avenue off okay so on <5:13:00 PM> Alex Johnston: if I were to say I want you to go to therapy tomorrow How likely would you <5:13:04 PM> Trevor Leon: you know <5:13:07 PM> Alex Johnston: to go to therapy <5:13:09 PM> Alex Johnston: mm-hmm <5:13:11 PM> Trevor Leon: based on what we're talking about I think I'd be more willing to go but it's also another doctor's appointment then you know I'm kind of busy you got stressed with work so that's all so a big barriers kind of the timing and just having to either take off or Miss time with my family to go to another appointment <5:13:29 PM> Alex Johnston: okay okay <5:13:30 PM> Trevor Leon: remember <5:13:33 PM> Alex Johnston: how could you <5:13:33 PM> Alex Johnston: how <5:13:36 PM> Alex Johnston: could you make time for the appointment <5:13:37 PM> Trevor Leon: yeah <5:13:37 PM> Trevor Leon: oh <5:13:39 PM> Alex Johnston: it's okay <5:13:40 PM> Trevor Leon: um well I do take half days on Fridays <5:13:44 PM> Trevor Leon: so you know I try and fill that with personal time whatever I got going on so sometimes it's the dentist sometimes it's you know taking care of whatever else so I've thought about maybe putting it in there but again just been kind of hesitating on that <5:13:45 PM> Alex Johnston: yeah absolutely and what what other concerns are you having with going to therapy and then we talked about you know maybe it's not right for you you know timing and things like that what other concerns do you have <5:14:00 PM> Trevor Leon: it's interesting <5:14:15 PM> Trevor Leon: well you know kind of the the stigma of therapy I don't know anyone who's ever done it I've never done it myself and <5:14:16 PM> Alex Johnston: okay <5:14:24 PM> Trevor Leon: like no one knows I'm on the SSRI so I'm trying to kind of keep that <5:14:30 PM> Trevor Leon: a personal <5:14:31 PM> Trevor Leon: you know <5:14:33 PM> Alex Johnston: in why is that <5:14:35 PM> Trevor Leon: it just mental health stigma <5:14:37 PM> Alex Johnston: here <5:14:42 PM> Trevor Leon: you know I'm trying to get a new promotion at my job I don't want that to affect anything things like that <5:14:48 PM> Alex Johnston: okay <5:14:49 PM> Alex Johnston: and with <5:14:51 PM> Alex Johnston: if you didn't if you were having let's say <5:14:57 PM> Alex Johnston: let's say the how do you I guess the the way to phrases <5:15:03 PM> Alex Johnston: do you picture yourself with this less stress with this less anxiety and depression how do you view yourself and how do you <5:15:03 PM> Alex Johnston: how <5:15:15 PM> Alex Johnston: that help with other parts of your life whether that's work etc <5:15:22 PM> Trevor Leon: I do <5:15:22 PM> Trevor Leon: yeah no that's a good point that's a good question you know firstly with work I mentioned things are stressful but it's also because you know I've been you know depressed and anxious so I can't get as much work done so I wonder if that's contributing to my lack of success and work and just trying to find like Earnest promotion and then with the family to you know <5:15:32 PM> Alex Johnston: mm-hmm <5:15:48 PM> Trevor Leon: and I'm busy so I try spend as much time with them as I can but I worry that the time that I am spending with them is you know me not my best state of mind so you know the end goal for me is just to get rid of it for good <5:15:54 PM> Alex Johnston: would respond <5:16:15 PM> Trevor Leon: well I think my fiancee would understand totally and we've talked about this before so she knows I'm on the SSR but you know my dad's pretty old school so he
