Doctor: that's currently happening now <3:46:38 PM> Ryan - Doctor: can you think of any other reasons <3:46:38 PM> Ryan - Doctor: for <3:46:44 PM> Andrew - Patient: oh yeah tell me I got <3:46:44 PM> Ryan - Doctor: purpose of the medication <3:46:49 PM> Andrew - Patient: hyper hyper something hyper tension <3:46:54 PM> Andrew - Patient: and I got <3:46:57 PM> Andrew - Patient: sugar and I don't know I think you make up half these names <3:46:57 PM> Ryan - Doctor: that that's understandable how <3:47:09 PM> Ryan - Doctor: how do these <3:47:11 PM> Ryan - Doctor: diagnoses do you think they impact your life <3:47:15 PM> Ryan - Doctor: I'm sorry that it's a big ordeal <3:47:16 PM> Andrew - Patient: well I just feel like I got to be popping pills all day long and pricking my fingers and they get sore from checking my sugar all the time from the meds you've got me on <3:47:33 PM> Ryan - Doctor: have you noticed any changes <3:47:36 PM> Ryan - Doctor: with medications <3:47:38 PM> Andrew - Patient: it just whatever changes you make <3:47:40 PM> Ryan - Doctor: <3:47:40 PM> Ryan - Doctor: just the changes we're making <3:47:46 PM> Ryan - Doctor: was your health <3:47:48 PM> Andrew - Patient: I don't know I still feel the same I just kind of sit in the chair and <3:47:49 PM> Ryan - Doctor: developed over time <3:47:51 PM> Ryan - Doctor: well I'm <3:47:58 PM> Andrew - Patient: yeah <3:48:01 PM> Andrew - Doctor: about <3:48:16 PM> Ryan - Doctor: about what what do you think would happen if you were to stop taking your medications <3:48:25 PM> Andrew - Patient: I mean I'm I miss some some days and nothing really changes but I can tell when my sugar gets high I get a little confused and I feel like I'm always peeing when I forget to take my meds <3:48:27 PM> Ryan - Doctor: tell me more about what's happened when you forget to take your meds <3:48:47 PM> Andrew - Patient: point but I forget I'm here and there you know but I've never really gone a whole month without taking them or something I would think I would probably feel terrible but thankfully I take them and I get my blood sugar down <3:49:08 PM> Andrew - Patient: but I keep telling you it hurts my fingers and I don't want to take my meds and make my blood sugar too low so sometimes I just don't take my meds because <3:49:18 PM> Andrew - Patient: if I'm not going to take my diabetes meds do I take any of them and my fingers hurt <3:49:25 PM> Ryan - Doctor: hear that <3:49:26 PM> Andrew - Patient: 4 <3:49:29 PM> Ryan - Doctor: you believe you could end up feeling terrible if you didn't take these meds and <3:49:35 PM> Ryan - Doctor: some of these <3:49:36 PM> Andrew - Patient: here yeah I mean my buddy Jim he passed away in his sleep because he had low sugar and I don't want that to be me so if I just have high sugar I guess I deal with being a little confused but <3:49:37 PM> Ryan - Doctor: health problems how it sounds like you think they might get worse <3:49:53 PM> Ryan - Doctor: I'm sorry about your friend <3:49:53 PM> Ryan - Doctor: that's very <3:49:57 PM> Andrew - Patient: just <3:49:58 PM> Andrew - Patient: some days you know what my arthritis my hands already hurt and I don't want to keep poking myself <3:50:16 PM> Ryan - Doctor: you <3:50:16 PM> Ryan - Doctor: unfortunate and I hope you understand that we very much care about your well-being that's at least my reasoning is I care about your well-being <3:50:31 PM> Ryan - Doctor: mentioned <3:50:32 PM> Ryan - Doctor: some concerns about price <3:50:35 PM> Ryan - Doctor: how tell me more about <3:50:38 PM> Andrew - Patient: it yeah I mean I just don't understand <3:50:39 PM> Ryan - Doctor: the financial side of the medications it seems like it sounds like you have some concerns <3:50:44 PM> Ryan - Doctor: I hear where you're coming from some of these things can be <3:50:47 PM> Andrew - Patient: I've got to take all these medicines I understand that I don't feel good with my my sugar problems but you know I don't notice that I have <3:50:59 PM> Andrew - Patient: high cholesterol and problems with my arteries and <3:51:04 PM> Andrew - Patient: I don't see that I don't notice a difference I kind of wonder if it's actually doing anything <3:51:13 PM> Andrew - Patient: but <3:51:20 PM> Ryan - Doctor: some <3:51:20 PM> Ryan - Doctor: hard to tell what's changing but it does sound like you've had some <3:51:24 PM> Paul Hershberger: what's that here <3:51:26 PM> Ryan - Doctor: changes come up <3:51:28 PM> Ryan - Doctor: do you think <3:51:30 PM> Ryan - Doctor: do you think more these problems will arise if you were to stop taking your medication <3:51:38 PM> Ryan - Doctor: yeah <3:51:40 PM> Paul Hershberger: yeah <3:51:45 PM> Paul Hershberger: Andrew acts like he's seen this patient before <3:51:50 PM> Paul Hershberger: let's hear your thoughts right ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jun 2, 2025, 3:51:57 PM
