Doctor joined the conference <2:47:40 PM> Paul - Patient joined the conference <2:47:40 PM> Reba - Doctor: okay great so moving a little bit into kind of your day-to-day life can you tell me a little bit about what you do during the week or during the weekends at all <2:48:06 PM> Paul - Patient: um <2:48:08 PM> Paul - Patient: well my job keeps me pretty busy during the week so <2:48:13 PM> Paul - Patient: um <2:48:14 PM> Paul - Patient: I <2:48:16 PM> Paul - Patient: I feel like when I get home <2:48:18 PM> Paul - Patient: during the week it's kind of like eat dinner and then kind of relax or you know sometimes there's mail to go through or <2:48:26 PM> Paul - Patient: personal email or something but I can't say there's much I really do for fun we can Knights <2:48:31 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah of course sounds like you're definitely working hard during the week so I totally understand that so what do you like to do for fun on the weekends then <2:48:34 PM> Paul - Patient: so weekends are kind of the time for me to just have fun <2:48:49 PM> Paul - Patient: well Friday night typically I'll either go to a bar with some of my friends or <2:48:55 PM> Paul - Patient: back and have a few beers at home and <2:49:00 PM> Paul - Patient: you know <2:49:02 PM> Paul - Patient: and then Saturday <2:49:05 PM> Paul - Patient: again typically I like to get together with friends or <2:49:09 PM> Paul - Patient: so <2:49:09 PM> Paul - Patient: you know <2:49:13 PM> Paul - Patient: know might be watching sports <2:49:17 PM> Paul - Patient: just kind of hanging out I I guess I would say my weekends are kicking back <2:49:20 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah and I said it'll relaxation time it sounds like <2:49:24 PM> Paul - Patient: yeah <2:49:28 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah okay so you say typically go to a bar with friends or have a few beers at home is that right <2:49:31 PM> Paul - Patient: yeah yeah <2:49:35 PM> Reba - Doctor: okay you kind of tell me a little bit about a little bit more about your drinking what a few beers means to you kind of what you do at the bar <2:49:47 PM> Paul - Patient: I I never count <2:49:50 PM> Paul - Patient: how many beers or how many other drinks I have <2:49:54 PM> Paul - Patient: you know I just I guess I drink enough that I kind of like to <2:50:00 PM> Paul - Patient: just forget about things <2:50:04 PM> Paul - Patient: and sometimes I really don't even remember <2:50:08 PM> Paul - Patient: you know that night or or the weekend so it's like kind of like an escape <2:50:14 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah but you say it's kind of like an escape what does that mean for you <2:50:23 PM> Paul - Patient: you know <2:50:23 PM> Paul - Patient: well with my job I've you know I've got to manage your job and it's just a lot of responsibilities and dealing with <2:50:28 PM> Reba - Doctor: it's <2:50:31 PM> Paul - Patient: of people who report to me dealing with their concerns their complaints so I don't even have to think about that so it's kind of like <2:50:41 PM> Paul - Patient: once I get a little buzz going <2:50:44 PM> Paul - Patient: you know I'm just <2:50:46 PM> Paul - Patient: not thinking about that at all <2:50:50 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:50:50 PM> Paul - Patient: yeah <2:50:51 PM> Reba - Doctor: um you mentioned not really being able to remember much kind of up that weekend <2:51:00 PM> Paul - Patient: you know somebody says what you do over the weekend <2:51:06 PM> Paul - Patient: I don't know beyond saying I went out with my buddies or <2:51:11 PM> Paul - Patient: watch some games at home or <2:51:14 PM> Paul - Patient: um beyond that I typically don't remember much <2:51:19 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:51:20 PM> Reba - Doctor: um so it sounds like you definitely have drink social life with your friends or your buddies kind of drink about that same amount as you <2:51:26 PM> Paul - Patient: um <2:51:30 PM> Paul - Patient: like I said I don't count for me and <2:51:34 PM> Paul - Patient: I've had a few I'm not paying much attention how much they're having <2:51:36 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah of course how long have you been doing this on the weekends <2:51:46 PM> Paul - Patient: you know I guess I you know would sneak some alcohol and high school and then when I got in college <2:51:54 PM> Paul - Patient: it was more drinking you know now after I got out of school and got a job I I cut out the drinking during the week because I wanted to make sure I <2:52:04 PM> Paul - Patient: you know that my job well and I so I still do that <2:52:10 PM> Paul - Patient: but <2:52:12 PM> Paul - Patient: you know I don't remember a time <2:52:15 PM> Paul - Patient: that I I wasn't doing this at all <2:52:18 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:52:20 PM> Reba - Doctor: what kind of made you stop drinking during that week <2:52:27 PM> Paul - Patient: well I <2:52:31 PM> Paul - Patient: you know the mornings after drinking don't feel very good and I <2:52:35 PM> Paul - Patient: I guess even now sometimes Monday mornings don't feel very good but but I I felt like you know I wanted to do well with my job and provide for my family and so <2:52:47 PM> Paul - Patient: during <2:52:47 PM> Paul - Patient: I just felt like you know I can't be doing this <2:52:51 PM> Paul - Patient: a week and <2:52:55 PM> Paul - Patient: so I just want to want to feel more fresh and alert and focused <2:52:57 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:53:01 PM> Paul - Patient: in the week <2:53:02 PM> Reba - Doctor: he said Monday mornings are a little hard for you <2:53:08 PM> Paul - Patient: yeah occasionally depends what I do on Sunday <2:53:12 PM> Paul - Patient: if <2:53:14 PM> Paul - Patient: you know like during the NFL season or whatever <2:53:20 PM> Paul - Patient: it might be drinking on Sunday and <2:53:23 PM> Paul - Patient: a try not to on Sunday night but sometimes depending on the afternoon Monday morning still might feel <2:53:30 PM> Reba - Doctor: mmm <2:53:30 PM> Paul - Patient: like I really prefer not to go to work <2:53:35 PM> Reba - Doctor: do you think that's kind of impacting your day at work or kind of the rest of your life will <2:53:43 PM> Paul - Patient: I I don't know I <2:53:47 PM> Paul - Patient: it's kind of like everybody complains about Monday morning so <2:53:52 PM> Paul - Patient: um I think <2:53:54 PM> Paul - Patient: you know and <2:53:56 PM> Paul - Patient: to people stay up later <2:53:59 PM> Paul - Patient: like I do <2:54:01 PM> Paul - Patient: at nights and so Monday morning comes early <2:54:06 PM> Paul - Patient: so I I don't think I'm I don't think <2:54:09 PM> Paul - Patient: I don't know that I'm struggling in more than anybody else on Monday morning <2:54:12 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:54:15 PM> Reba - Doctor: you think you'll ever kind of explore a world where you kind of minimize some of that drinking on the weekends <2:54:19 PM> Paul - Patient: what do you mean by that <2:54:23 PM> Reba - Doctor: report <2:54:25 PM> Reba - Doctor: like maybe to <2:54:28 PM> Reba - Doctor: crease kind of the effects on Monday maybe remembering a little bit more <2:54:32 PM> Paul - Patient: oh whether I've thought about <2:54:34 PM> Reba - Doctor: he <2:54:36 PM> Paul - Patient: trying to ease off a little bit so Mondays aren't so bad <2:54:37 PM> Reba - Doctor: that's fair <2:54:41 PM> Paul - Patient: um well when I think about that would be the Mondays that are bad <2:54:47 PM> Paul - Patient: but by the time I get to Friday I'm not thinking about Monday morning <2:54:53 PM> Paul - Patient: cell <2:54:54 PM> Paul - Patient: say I've done anything like that <2:54:57 PM> Paul - Patient: um <2:54:58 PM> Reba - Doctor: do you think kind of over time The Weeknd kind of drinking has built up and kind of increased or do you think it's kind of been about the same over time <2:55:13 PM> Paul - Patient: I'd say it's probably variable some weekends <2:55:18 PM> Paul - Patient: I drank more others maybe not so much <2:55:22 PM> Paul - Patient: but I don't know that there's been I don't think it's been any kind of a steady increase <2:55:24 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:55:29 PM> Reba - Doctor: why do you think there are some weekends that you kind of end up drinking more <2:55:37 PM> Paul - Patient: probably drink more when I'm <2:55:43 PM> Paul - Patient: like <2:55:43 PM> Paul - Patient: with my friends and you know if there's something <2:55:49 PM> Paul - Patient: a game or a party that <2:55:51 PM> Reba - Doctor: mm-hmm <2:55:52 PM> Paul - Patient: it is a reason to discontinue to stay together <2:55:57 PM> Paul - Patient: those are probably the weekends I drink the most <2:55:58 PM> Reba - Doctor: yeah <2:56:02 PM> Reba - Doctor: do you think <2:56:04 PM> Reba - Doctor: able to kind of have like that fun experience with your friends or with games without as much drinking <2:56:11 PM> Reba - Doctor: okay <2:56:14 PM> Paul - Patient: well occasionally I do that during the week let's say there's <2:56:21 PM> Paul - Patient: some social activity during the week like I said I'm pretty strict about not drinking <2:56:28 PM> Paul - Patient: during the week so those are fun but <2:56:33 PM> Paul - Patient: it's like I'm still thinking about <2:56:35 PM> Reba - Doctor: it's not really okay <2:56:37 PM> Paul - Patient: work and and those work responsibilities <2:56:40 PM> Paul - Patient: we'll stop here we'll stop here <2:56:44 PM> Paul - Patient: just <2:56:46 PM> Paul - Patient: all right <2:56:51 PM> Paul - Patient: uh let me <2:56:54 PM> Paul - Patient: make one more change here ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jun 9, 2025, 2:56:59 PM
