Patient: yes <1:11:27 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: um tell me how have you been how has the increase and how have you been feeling since <1:11:31 PM> Domenick - Patient: um <1:11:36 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah I know we increase it I feel like I'm still dealing with a lot going on right now <1:11:44 PM> Domenick - Patient: quick <1:11:44 PM> Domenick - Patient: so I don't know if it's really helping that that much but I've only been taking it for a little bit so I don't know how <1:11:52 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay you say you've been doing with a lot of stuff since then tell me more about that <1:11:52 PM> Domenick - Patient: it's supposed to work or <1:11:54 PM> Domenick - Patient: I don't know <1:11:56 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah it's just I guess just like life factors just <1:12:08 PM> Domenick - Patient: upcoming job interview and my roommates kind of moved out and just still having you know kind of just moments of just being sad and just kind of dealing with things so <1:12:22 PM> Domenick - Patient: don't know if the antidepressants really working <1:12:25 PM> Domenick - Patient: I've just been kind of trusting you guys and letting it go from there <1:12:28 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay so it does seem like you have a lot of big changes currently having so it's understandable how you're feeling also changing medication and just changing everything going on how are you develop that aside from the medication <1:12:31 PM> Domenick - Patient: how am I what <1:12:51 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: how are you currently dealing managing all of chains aside from the medication <1:12:51 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah I mean I feel like I kind of just deal with it I know like everybody goes through things in life and I think right now it's just a stressful time for me <1:13:09 PM> Domenick - Patient: um <1:13:10 PM> Domenick - Patient: just been kind of dealing with it I thought the antidepressant might help when I came in <1:13:15 PM> Domenick - Patient: however many months ago just trying to get something to help <1:13:20 PM> Domenick - Patient: but I wouldn't say like I have <1:13:24 PM> Domenick - Patient: any Outlet I might <1:13:26 PM> Domenick - Patient: here and there but that's only like if I'm like really stressed but <1:13:28 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay so aside from you have any other outlets or that you've been able to engage in <1:13:42 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: the help <1:13:44 PM> Domenick - Patient: I do work out sometimes <1:13:48 PM> Domenick - Patient: be like three or four times a week <1:13:48 PM> Domenick - Patient: but <1:13:51 PM> Domenick - Patient: a and I think that helps a little bit but I feel like I've been doing it for so long that it doesn't really have like that much of a mental benefit for for now but <1:14:02 PM> Domenick - Patient: guess that's probably another Outlet I'd say <1:14:03 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: oh well that's that's great working out is a great way to relieve stress being as always positive no matter you know what it is that I'm going on so that's a great way and I would definitely encourage you to if you do not to continue to do so <1:14:24 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: and so we've talked about a lot initially right now and I know you came in for your occasion circling back to your medication have you felt ever since you started this about six months ago on a scale of I'm done how would you <1:14:42 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: feel it's helped in terms of 0 not how at all or to 10 where it's been really helped notice changes also keep in mind that changes can be subtle but change is nonetheless are you know any changes from the initial appointment <1:14:42 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah um <1:15:00 PM> Domenick - Patient: right now I probably say like a four or five <1:15:01 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay or five about halfway through why not a 2 <1:15:12 PM> Domenick - Patient: I guess because we have like the dose and I I think <1:15:17 PM> Domenick - Patient: even if I don't know how well it's working I feel like <1:15:22 PM> Domenick - Patient: maybe I'm not as depressed as I probably could be about stuff or sad so maybe I think it might be helping in that way of like <1:15:33 PM> Domenick - Patient: times I'm dealing with stuff like mentally I feel <1:15:36 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: here that's great that's great to hear and any changes a great change in situations this and so have you been able to take your doses consistently every day do you feel like that's been okay for you as well <1:15:38 PM> Domenick - Patient: can you ask that again I'm sorry it cut out <1:15:52 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: you sorry um do you have you been able to take your doses every day since you've been prescribed as well <1:15:56 PM> Domenick - Patient: yes yes <1:16:03 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay and <1:16:07 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: moving forward <1:16:09 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: how would what are some goals that in terms of your feeling what are some goals that you have for yourself in terms of getting better moving forward <1:16:12 PM> Domenick - Patient: honestly <1:16:12 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah um <1:16:24 PM> Domenick - Patient: I I don't mind the stress of like dealing with like a job and my my friend moving out and it's more just like the feelings of just <1:16:36 PM> Domenick - Patient: sadness and not feeling good enough I wish I just didn't have those feelings because I feel like it just really affects my confidence and you know how I carry myself throughout my life so I I really would like that to kind of go away that's what I was hoping with the antidepressant <1:16:46 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay well we have noticed some we can you know since you said you know you're four or five we could talk about increasing those you know the dose may be slightly everybody's different <1:17:10 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: in terms so I can help you in that regard but do you have is there any other way out of you in your journey in this moving forward <1:17:21 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: aside from the medication <1:17:23 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah I know that we like you guys recommended counseling <1:17:23 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: okay you say you're iffy about that what can you tell me more about your concerns <1:17:31 PM> Domenick - Patient: I I don't I don't know I was kind of iffy about doing that <1:17:35 PM> Domenick - Patient: I just it's it's weird for me to talk to people about my problems especially someone I don't really know <1:17:51 PM> Domenick - Patient: sure it might help I just I just feel a little weird doing that <1:17:54 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: oh that's understandable all relationships you know do start somewhere and like going through a lot of changes it could be <1:18:07 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: a little scary starting a new relationship in the midst of that all but something you like to you know stress with patients going through similar situations with antidepressants is understanding is multi-factorial right the medication is one aspect you talked about other great Medias like exercise but also talked into someone so we can further as to what that would look like in terms of counseling if that's something you'd be interested in and we could take it from there one step at a time <1:18:25 PM> Paul Hershberger: all right we'll stop there <1:18:36 PM> Domenick - Patient: yeah yeah I feel like more of a conversation about it would probably be helpful for me <1:18:48 PM> Paul Hershberger: so Martha we'll start with you let's hear your thoughts about how that how that went <1:18:57 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: um I would say <1:19:02 PM> Martha N. - Doctor: really ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jul 14, 2025, 1:19:05 PM
