Castle joined the conference <2:42:05 PM> Nicholas Sze: here <2:42:05 PM> Nicholas Sze: I'm Marcelo thanks for coming in I understand that <2:42:12 PM> Marcelo Costa: yeah man I'm I'm glad to be here <2:42:12 PM> Nicholas Sze: we're here today to check up on some medications <2:42:15 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay <2:42:19 PM> Nicholas Sze: so how have things been <2:42:19 PM> Marcelo Costa: but things are good you know just the usual <2:42:26 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay <2:42:28 PM> Marcelo Costa: been doing stuff at work and stuff at home so that's just that's the same old <2:42:34 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay how have you how is your mood been since starting the medications <2:42:34 PM> Marcelo Costa: it's pretty good I mean obviously you know compared to when we started as much better but <2:42:46 PM> Marcelo Costa: I just have my days <2:42:48 PM> Nicholas Sze: I'm glad that you're seeing some kind of improvement <2:42:48 PM> Nicholas Sze: when you say that <2:42:53 PM> Nicholas Sze: you've been having those kind of days are they similar to what you had in the past <2:42:54 PM> Marcelo Costa: it no just sometimes I I just be stressed some days I feel lonely one of my roommates moved out and <2:43:08 PM> Marcelo Costa: I know I just miss having a little bit noise at the house so it's just <2:43:11 PM> Nicholas Sze: yeah that sounds like a big adjustment and I mean it's gonna take time for things to <2:43:12 PM> Marcelo Costa: just depends on the day <2:43:14 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean work has kept me really busy I have this evaluation coming up and like I said that's in keeping me stressed I've been trying to work really hard and working some overtime at home and <2:43:20 PM> Nicholas Sze: find a new normal um have you been doing other things in your life to keep yourself busy <2:43:26 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay <2:43:41 PM> Marcelo Costa: you know I'm just trying to to be a good worker and do well on my job <2:43:42 PM> Nicholas Sze: good good well it's great to hear that you have goals and that we're working towards you know making progress last time that we spoke I'm glad that the meds are doing well last time we spoke we talked about getting into some talk therapy or maybe seeing somebody other than myself for mental health concerns have you thought about that at all <2:43:46 PM> Marcelo Costa: but <2:43:55 PM> Marcelo Costa: here I mean is this one you when you told me you want me to go see a shrink <2:44:10 PM> Nicholas Sze: up I mean I wouldn't I don't think I used that word shrink it could be it doesn't have to be a psychiatrist per se right so it's like is what people typically think of but it can just be a mental health counselor or somebody just to talk a little bit more since we don't get the most time at these appointments <2:44:14 PM> Marcelo Costa: mm-hmm <2:44:24 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean I was I was talking to some of my coworkers about this and they're like man like you don't have any mental problems why should you go see somebody and I kind of agree with them so like I still don't understand why I if I don't have any mental problems why do I have to go see someone <2:44:51 PM> Nicholas Sze: hm <2:44:56 PM> Nicholas Sze: well <2:44:57 PM> Nicholas Sze: um <2:44:58 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean I thought this is why I have you you know I come here we can we can talk about stuff and then like I can just go about my day and go back to work <2:45:02 PM> Nicholas Sze: well it doesn't have to be that you have problems per se it can be good just to talk about it <2:45:11 PM> Nicholas Sze: life with somebody that no judgment and a low pressure setting <2:45:15 PM> Nicholas Sze: what are your thoughts on that <2:45:27 PM> Marcelo Costa: I'm just stressed out about that kind of stuff and I just don't think right now that <2:45:31 PM> Marcelo Costa: I kind of need that you know <2:45:33 PM> Nicholas Sze: and other than me do you have anybody else in your life that you talk to about stress <2:45:34 PM> Marcelo Costa: here I mean about I mean I'll talk to my family but is usually about like how I'm doing and and stuff but like <2:45:46 PM> Marcelo Costa: I don't know <2:45:48 PM> Marcelo Costa: sink like <2:45:50 PM> Marcelo Costa: stress you just have every day and you just deal with it and and that's just kind of part of being an adult so <2:45:57 PM> Marcelo Costa: I don't know if there's really a need to talk about it besides kind of deal with it <2:45:59 PM> Nicholas Sze: mmm <2:46:02 PM> Nicholas Sze: and what is your family think about that <2:46:03 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean my family's kind of a traditional way you know they just like oh just suck it up and do your job and that's just part of being an adult and I kind of agree with them <2:46:13 PM> Nicholas Sze: here do you have anybody else in your life that you know you talk to frequently <2:46:15 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean I have my roommate but like I said he moved out he got a new job in a different state so like <2:46:26 PM> Marcelo Costa: it's kind of do my own thing <2:46:28 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay <2:46:30 PM> Nicholas Sze: so it sounds like you know you don't feel like talk therapy would be beneficial to you you like the medications and I'm glad that those are doing well for you on a scale one to ten where you at in terms of maybe seeking some outside help <2:46:38 PM> Marcelo Costa: second <2:46:46 PM> Marcelo Costa: that I mean I would say like a five I mean I don't like I said I don't <2:46:54 PM> Marcelo Costa: I don't think I'm there's anything wrong with me but <2:46:55 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay <2:46:57 PM> Marcelo Costa: that's something was really really wrong then yeah sure I'll talk to somebody but right now I feel like I'm good you know <2:46:59 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay I mean a five is kind of in the middle of the road why isn't it lower what concerns do you have that may get a five <2:47:05 PM> Marcelo Costa: it <2:47:12 PM> Marcelo Costa: um I mean you've been asking me and like I said you know some days I do I do feel lonely at home and I feel stressed with work but <2:47:21 PM> Marcelo Costa: I just try to copy my own ways so that's kind of why I stand on a five <2:47:23 PM> Nicholas Sze: mmm and what kind of ways are using the cope <2:47:25 PM> Marcelo Costa: um I just ain't got a home I'll read a book or I'll go for a walk here and there but <2:47:36 PM> Marcelo Costa: going to take my mind out of it but they want to come back home I'm just kind of like back into work mode or kind of focused on by what I have to do for tomorrow in the day after and things like that <2:47:45 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay what seems like you have good Outlets reading and you know getting out there and just trying to take your mind off things how does how does that make you feel <2:47:47 PM> Marcelo Costa: place <2:47:55 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean the moment sure it does help out a little bit but even then sometimes when I'm walking I'll catch myself thinking about did I turn in this thing for work or was my if I performance being up to the standard that I want and <2:48:12 PM> Marcelo Costa: sure does help but I'm still thinking about it <2:48:13 PM> Nicholas Sze: mmm okay so it sounds like a little bidding was of anxiety and even when we're doing things that are supposed to help us and help get our mind off things sometimes we're still stressed right so we're never leaving that stressful mindset that zone that that's bothering us so <2:48:33 PM> Nicholas Sze: when you don't have those thoughts when you're walking or you're reading are they more positive thoughts what's on your mind <2:48:39 PM> Nicholas Sze: very <2:48:40 PM> Marcelo Costa: mean just like I said <2:48:43 PM> Marcelo Costa: some days I just relax I'm going outside and I said oh it's a nice day it looks nice outside I'm just hanging out and then something will happen I said the thing I like do I did I turn into a sheet I was supposed to turn in or did I that I finish what I had to do for work so then like I said it's just it just comes back and and then I said okay maybe I should go home and get to work so this <2:49:04 PM> Marcelo Costa: a little bit what I've been I mean maybe after I get this <2:49:08 PM> Marcelo Costa: review about my performance at work maybe <2:49:11 PM> Marcelo Costa: going down a little bit but I still don't know <2:49:13 PM> Nicholas Sze: okay well it seems to me like you value self-care or else you wouldn't be doing those things and that kind of time and space is important to you and I'm just trying to help and find ways that we can carve out more time so that those thoughts aren't always on your mind <2:49:14 PM> Marcelo Costa: I mean yeah like my biggest thing is just <2:49:33 PM> Marcelo Costa: time I don't feel like I have enough time to do go see somebody or talk to somebody I think my schedule is pretty busy and I'm always doing something so like I don't want to take time away from my work too to just talk to somebody <2:49:47 PM> Nicholas Sze: mmm ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jul 15, 2025, 2:49:51 PM
