Patient joined the conference <3:06:16 PM> Marcelo - doctor joined the conference <3:06:16 PM> Angie Castle joined the conference <3:06:17 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay <3:06:30 PM> Marcelo - doctor: oh so Nick I appreciate you coming in for your your physical today seems like you're doing overall really well I just wanted to ask you a few couple questions I notice over here in one of your forms you filled out some information that I just want to talk to you about <3:06:47 PM> Marcelo - doctor: um and I just want to hear from you what are your what are your weekends like <3:06:51 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: um it's mostly just me and my wife <3:06:58 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: well just relaxed kind of sit out at the patio and occasionally we'll go out to eat <3:07:05 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: mow the lawn and it's pretty low-key <3:07:09 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: have a couple drinks here and there but nothing crazy <3:07:12 PM> Marcelo - doctor: he's like you guys enjoy each other's company a lot and I think that's really important in a marriage <3:07:22 PM> Marcelo - doctor: you mentioned a little bit have a couple of drinks here and there what's a typical night of drinking look like for you <3:07:27 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I mean it can depend on how I'm feeling but <3:07:34 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I mean on Friday you know usually have <3:07:36 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay amount I want to ask you two questions but first I just want to hear from you what what do you what do you define as an okay amount <3:07:38 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: couple <3:07:39 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: and then on Saturday <3:07:39 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: depend <3:07:43 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: on how I'm feeling yeah it kind of just depends on how I'm feeling but <3:07:48 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I would say it's an okay amount <3:07:55 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: uh like it's like <3:08:00 PM> Marcelo - doctor: it <3:08:03 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I mean it depends on what I'm drinking but I mean anywhere from like a six pack to even like a 12 pack <3:08:12 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: but it's been that way for a long time now I'm like pretty used to it I don't feel like it's a problem <3:08:15 PM> Marcelo - doctor: you <3:08:15 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay and <3:08:20 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: all right <3:08:23 PM> Marcelo - doctor: should how you're feeling tell me a little bit more about that <3:08:28 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: like <3:08:28 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it's more just kind of like being bored <3:08:33 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: we don't have that many friends and stuff and work is just kind of whatever so it's like a stress reliever and it's just because I'm bored and like I said I've been doing it for so long it's just kind of part of my routine <3:08:34 PM> Marcelo - doctor: I understand that sometimes we we try to find comfort in certain things so let me ask you this what are what are some other ways that you you find yourself <3:08:46 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I do notice that like when I feel more upset I do drink more though <3:09:00 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: okay <3:09:06 PM> Marcelo - doctor: enjoying your weekend or you know relaxing or not finding comfort <3:09:14 PM> Marcelo - doctor: when you're not drinking <3:09:15 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I mean <3:09:19 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: most of the time when I feel like better is when I'm with my wife because she's like my better half <3:09:19 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: and so <3:09:23 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay <3:09:25 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: whenever we're spending time together I'm not drinking as much just because you know I'm keeping myself occupied so sometimes even just stuff like going in the farmer's market or like going to dinner or something like that that <3:09:33 PM> Marcelo - doctor: I mean I think it's great that you <3:09:41 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: gives me more positive I think <3:09:44 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: yeah <3:09:49 PM> Marcelo - doctor: notice those things and how going to the farmer's market or spending time with your wife bring you Joy and make you happy and I think it's important to cherish those moments and to continue to maybe plant some more of those moments with her <3:10:06 PM> Marcelo - doctor: when the days that you say you feel alone and you're bored <3:10:11 PM> Marcelo - doctor: why do you choose to to drink instead of perhaps going on a date with your wife or going to do something fun with her <3:10:14 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: usually it's because like she's busy or you know I just don't have the energy and it's kind of my default I don't really have any other like big Hobbies right now <3:10:20 PM> Marcelo - doctor: public <3:10:33 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: so since I've been doing that for so long it's just a lot easier for me to just like watch TV or something and have a couple drinks and not think about things that works for me more than you know putting effort to go do something in my opinion but <3:10:37 PM> Marcelo - doctor: mm-hmm <3:10:52 PM> Marcelo - doctor: and I mean you see you guys seem to enjoy each other's company a lot and even like you said it's use your better half <3:10:58 PM> Marcelo - doctor: what are what are some ways that perhaps you know during the week you guys can communicate and plan something different for the weekend so that both of you guys can enjoy each other's time <3:11:04 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it well at times like <3:11:12 PM> Marcelo - doctor: but <3:11:13 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it's hard because her work schedules a little more unpredictable so it makes it hard to plan something ahead of time so it usually tends to be kind of sporadic but when we do <3:11:15 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay <3:11:28 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: right <3:11:28 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it gives me something to look forward to <3:11:33 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it makes me happier for the rest of the week because I know I got something to do during the weekend <3:11:34 PM> Marcelo - doctor: placement <3:11:38 PM> Marcelo - doctor: my understand <3:11:42 PM> Marcelo - doctor: and <3:11:42 PM> Marcelo - doctor: let me <3:11:43 PM> Marcelo - doctor: ask you something from from a different way how do you see your mood and your happy like your happiness in the following days when you when you drink on the weekend <3:11:54 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: nah I usually feel kind of tired like you know I'm not able to handle things as well as I used to but I still feel pretty good and then I usually able to go to work been doing this for years so but I just got used to it and <3:12:14 PM> Marcelo - doctor: it and how do these days compared with the days that you spend doing something with your wife <3:12:16 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: doesn't feel great but I feel okay <3:12:24 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: well <3:12:29 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I feel better after hanging out with her <3:12:30 PM> Marcelo - doctor: put <3:12:32 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: like <3:12:32 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: uh I feel I mean I don't have like a hangover like as many <3:12:38 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it's not feeling good so I would say it feels better when I'm not drinking no <3:12:42 PM> Marcelo - doctor: pregnant <3:12:44 PM> Marcelo - doctor: I mean it seems like you <3:12:49 PM> Marcelo - doctor: you even in your own words told me <3:12:53 PM> Marcelo - doctor: how good it makes you feel when you spend time with her and you don't feel hangover or anything like that <3:12:59 PM> Marcelo - doctor: what are what are some things that you can think about doing with her <3:13:06 PM> Marcelo - doctor: throughout the week to make sure that you guys can maybe have one day on the weekend for each other <3:13:08 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: a little <3:13:08 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I guess trying to work out like whatever her schedule is I mean I feel like it's so random but if we could figure out something <3:13:11 PM> Marcelo - doctor: place <3:13:21 PM> Marcelo - doctor: here so <3:13:21 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it consistent or you know make it a goal <3:13:25 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: would help but <3:13:28 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: yeah I just <3:13:32 PM> Marcelo - doctor: if I were to ask you to in an effort to have more of those better days where you're not hungover or anything how would you be willing to try let's say perhaps on a scale of 1 to 10 to try and organize with her and make sure that she can also move her schedule around to to perhaps let's say have one of the days in the weekend just for you to <3:13:55 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: yeah I would say I'm at like a six <3:13:58 PM> Marcelo - doctor: okay and what would it take for it to be closer to a seven or eight <3:14:03 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: um <3:14:12 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: I guess just not having <3:14:21 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: just so much like empty space I don't know <3:14:25 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: when I get to when I have to like fill my time with something I just don't really have the energy usually and you know <3:14:25 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: that <3:14:26 PM> Marcelo - doctor: everything <3:14:33 PM> Marcelo - doctor: and I know sometimes when we get closer to the weekend we just want to relax and not do anything and just be lazy and and that's normal but I think sometimes we all need to consider our health and the things that make us happy and <3:14:34 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: like a lot of work you know having to plan all this stuff and <3:14:38 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: it just sounds like effort so honestly I just feel kind of lazy <3:14:59 PM> Marcelo - doctor: I think sometimes spending time with those that we love it's really important what are some other ways that you've found yourself feeling that empty space when your wife is not there but that is also a healthy alternative <3:15:16 PM> Nicholas Sze - Patient: but every ending or should I ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jul 15, 2025, 3:15:21 PM
