Patient joined the conference <5:33:13 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor joined the conference <5:33:13 PM> Paul Hershberger joined the conference <5:33:13 PM> John Donnelly joined the conference <5:33:19 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: company <5:33:22 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: all right cool it's good to see you again so we saw you three months ago and upped your dose on your prescription <5:33:35 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: so tell me about what brings you in here today <5:33:36 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: honestly I feel like you might as well not have given me anything I I came here to kind of hold my mood would improve but I feel pretty much exact same as I did six months ago <5:33:38 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:33:53 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: and how have you been feeling <5:33:55 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: overall I think just <5:33:56 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay so it seems like some added stressors with the roommate leaving <5:34:00 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: in a lot of time in bed because I don't have the motivation to do things hard to get out of bed to go to work when I'm at work <5:34:07 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I feel like I'm just sitting there kind of reacting to things not really being proactive at work I've been feeling even more bummed out because I had a really good friend that lived with me he just moved out so <5:34:21 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: not get out of bed to hang out with him but even now I don't have any reason to kind of get up and do anything <5:34:28 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: well we like to play video games we like to play Pickleball you know watch like sports when they come on those are probably the things I'm gonna <5:34:28 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: kind <5:34:34 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: um I guess tell me about some of the things you used to do with the roommate <5:34:39 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:34:39 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: and <5:34:51 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: is the most about my my buddy moving out <5:34:57 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: and <5:34:59 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: I guess do you view those things as the like you can no longer do them anymore without your friend <5:35:07 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: um in some ways I mean I can play video games by myself I can watch you know football by myself but it's kind of just <5:35:13 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: it was fun to do those with other people and I feel like maybe even that kept me from feeling so down was hanging out with somebody you know social engagement <5:35:21 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: understand that <5:35:25 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: and then since our last visit I know you said the upped dose hasn't helped but what have you been doing to help yourself I should say <5:35:33 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: um I've just been trying to go to work every day <5:35:38 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay and why is that <5:35:42 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I try to not be in bed as much when I'm at home but it's just been hard honestly I haven't done that much <5:35:49 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: not making many changes I would say <5:35:53 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I mean it's just kind of goes back to the motivation issue I I really don't feel like I can do anything even though I know that's not true I feel like I just can't get out of bed <5:35:55 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: she said you liked <5:36:11 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I mean I know it's not true because some days I just kind of pull myself up by my bootstraps and go into work but <5:36:13 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: you can or you can't do things even though you know that's not true <5:36:13 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: so what <5:36:18 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: like <5:36:18 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: about it <5:36:20 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: what do you how do you know that it's not true <5:36:23 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay tell me more like <5:36:31 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: aside from that <5:36:32 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I guess I don't really know it's just kind of like I know if you know we're an emergency or something I could probably get out of bed but it just doesn't feel like it's worth it a lot of the time <5:36:46 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: well <5:36:46 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: well it's a sorry <5:36:48 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: what do you mean not worth it <5:36:54 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: so I think <5:36:55 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:36:56 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I just don't have a lot of enjoyment or feel any sense of accomplishment from the things that I'm doing now <5:37:03 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: so those I feel like that's what makes things worth it and I don't feel that <5:37:05 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay was there anything in the past that you seem to gain enjoyment from <5:37:08 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: yeah I mean I'd say <5:37:15 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: so if you so you did enjoy them in the past which is good so <5:37:19 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: to my roommate you know living with me I went fishing a lot I lifted weights more I would say those are things that I definitely enjoyed <5:37:27 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I'm not too sure I think it's just kind of a general sense of being down all the time <5:37:33 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: what I guess is preventing you from enjoying them now <5:37:38 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:37:46 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: a lot to kind of make me feel good and it doesn't take that much to make me feel really down <5:37:55 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: and then I know last time like we kind of talked about like the self-work and we also talked about like a health counselor <5:37:56 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: like the therapist <5:38:05 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: are you out with the health counselor <5:38:08 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: mm-hmm <5:38:11 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: um I still <5:38:12 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:38:16 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I just I don't like the idea of someone being in my head I'm probably <5:38:20 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I'm not really considering at this point I'm hoping the meds can just fix things <5:38:25 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I would say mostly I just don't like the idea of someone kind of working inside my head and plus <5:38:25 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I mean <5:38:26 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: so what what concerns do you have with the saying the therapist <5:38:39 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: talking to someone <5:38:41 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: feel like I could talk to people fine but what good is that gonna do <5:38:45 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: that's fair um <5:38:46 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: um <5:38:49 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: anybody or have you do you know anybody who is seen accounts or <5:38:54 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: tell me more about that <5:38:57 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I think maybe my mom after my Grandpa died or something like that <5:39:03 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I know she was just struggling he died unexpectedly it was when I was really young but <5:39:06 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay would you say that it helped her <5:39:12 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: she wasn't expecting and she kind of used it as a tool to help her through the grief I would say but I'm not really grieving anything so I don't know if there's really a point <5:39:22 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I was young I don't remember but she says that it did <5:39:26 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay and I guess how how much weight do you think your mom's opinion holds for you <5:39:29 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: we're pretty close I mean I'm close with both my parents <5:39:37 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: okay <5:39:37 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: so if <5:39:41 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: so a lot <5:39:43 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: I guess the question I would ask is just do you think it helps Beyond just helping people grieve or if they have something really significant to be sad about because I don't think I have something major like she did <5:39:44 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: there was a tool that <5:39:47 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: has helped your mom would you have trust in it helping you as well <5:39:52 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: um I mean it definitely can it's not just a <5:40:08 PM> Paul Hershberger: what's up what's up here <5:40:09 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: like one tool like one size fits all its <5:40:11 PM> Cole Stevens - Patient: okay <5:40:13 PM> Joel Spenny - Doctor: definitely like multidisciplinary and can help for multiple different things ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Aug 26, 2025, 5:40:29 PM
