Doctor joined the conference <1:32:20 PM> Tamiel Murray joined the conference <1:32:20 PM> Paul Hershberger joined the conference <1:32:20 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient joined the conference <1:32:20 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay so I know that you mentioned during our visit today that you have some frustrations with all the medications that you have to take <1:32:20 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: okay <1:32:34 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: it's <1:32:34 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: oh yeah it's just like it's so many <1:32:44 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay tell me a little bit more about how you're frustrated <1:32:50 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: too many honestly it's just too many <1:32:53 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: well <1:32:57 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: I can understand that can be very frustrating especially when you have a lot of medications it cannot like potential side effects that's all can be very frustrating <1:32:58 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I don't know like it's basically like 30 pills in the morning 30 pills at night it's just I mean it's you know it's just a lot of pills to take and then it's like okay well if I feel bad then I'm like is it a side effect of one of these men how would I know which met it is there's so many meds <1:33:18 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: and so it's just like it's a lot and and some days I'm like I won't even know the difference if I take the pill in the morning or not so it's just kind of like <1:33:28 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: why do I take it <1:33:29 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like <1:33:29 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: yeah <1:33:43 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: take the <1:33:43 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: I noticed you said you wouldn't even notice if you <1:33:48 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: in the morning or not take the pill <1:33:51 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay <1:33:53 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: for my blood pressure like if I take my Lisinopril <1:34:00 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: if I <1:34:00 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I don't even know which color that one is by the way <1:34:04 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: take it <1:34:05 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: would make no difference to me like I would probably feel the same versus not <1:34:11 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: because I just feel like I'm taking so many pills that I wouldn't even know the difference if I didn't take one of them so then it makes me think why am I even taking any of them <1:34:19 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: well I have my list <1:34:21 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: yeah I mean you are taking so many so it can be frustrating <1:34:28 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: in that you also mentioned that you don't even know what color your blood pressure pill is it can be a little bit confusing when you have to take so many medications so tell me a little bit more about how <1:34:38 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: all these medications <1:34:43 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: of what I'm supposed to take in the morning and at night and then I just have my medicine cabinet and I just <1:34:51 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like I know the ones I'm supposed to take but <1:34:54 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like sometimes I'll forget in the morning so that I won't take them all in the morning but like if I don't take them all in the morning then I Do by the end of the day feel guilty and then try to take my knight doses <1:35:06 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: it's like <1:35:08 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I <1:35:08 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I don't I just kind of have them all lined up in my bathroom like I don't <1:35:13 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like use a box or anything like I don't <1:35:17 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: you know I just wake up and <1:35:19 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I remember to take all them in the morning then I will and if I don't remember to take them in the morning then I'll at least try to get in the evening dose <1:35:26 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay well that's good that you at least try to get to take the evening dose but it's important that we take all of our medications at the time they're supposed to be taken how have you tried to make it easier to take these medications <1:35:26 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: uh well I haven't really tried anything <1:35:42 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay what would make it easier to take these medications <1:35:47 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: to be honest <1:35:49 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: well I think <1:35:54 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: yeah it is hard to take a pill when you're not sure what it's for <1:35:56 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I think what would make it easier is also if I <1:36:00 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I think if I like how to better understanding of what I'm taking everything for that might make me <1:36:10 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like it might make me more <1:36:14 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: likely to take them because sometimes like lisinopril I know that one's for blood pressure but <1:36:21 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: to them I don't even know what I'm taking them for sometimes and people explain them but then I forget and then I get confused and <1:36:30 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: yeah I think if I had my I think just like my list is like kind of like what to take when but it doesn't tell me like what they're for so if I had at least like <1:36:38 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: I know you said several doctors have explained what these medications are for and that you also mentioned you have a list at home <1:36:48 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: so what do you think <1:36:51 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: make it easier for you to understand what your pills are for <1:36:56 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay well you know through epic now we do have a lot of handouts we can give patients with a lot of pictures to describe some things about your disease and some of the medications that you could possibly be on with the disease oh we could give you the handout and you can take it home with you would that be something you're interested in <1:37:08 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: you know <1:37:08 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: some understanding of this pill is for this and this bill is for this and <1:37:14 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like this is why you have to take this pill like just a little bit of a more simple version of it and like <1:37:22 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: not kind of all of like the complex like <1:37:26 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: so <1:37:26 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: because sometimes doctors I think get a little too complex and I don't really understand fully <1:37:32 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: just like a simplified version of it would be helpful <1:37:36 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: yeah I think that would help a lot <1:37:56 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay I'll make sure we get that for you today <1:37:59 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: well <1:38:04 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: um so that would address one of your problems what else would you think make would make it easier for you to take your medications <1:38:18 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I mean I wish there weren't so many <1:38:22 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: like it just I wish we could put some of them together <1:38:26 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: put some of <1:38:26 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: I wish we could just kind of <1:38:28 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: pills together and make that one pill instead of having to take like six <1:38:30 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: oh yeah I mean it would make things a lot easier if we just had one pill that would cure all of our problems unfortunately we're not quite there yet with our medical technology <1:38:44 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: you sorry page I was kind of <1:38:48 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: um <1:38:50 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: but <1:38:59 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: I guess <1:38:59 PM> Paul Hershberger: we we can stop here Pages it's stopping point <1:39:03 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: okay yeah I had a train of thought and I lost it <1:39:07 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: here <1:39:10 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: adding my own spin I've heard this this one is a good one because I've heard this <1:39:10 PM> Paige Wnek - Doctor: so yeah you were doing really well <1:39:15 PM> Risha Annamraju - Patient: good ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Oct 13, 2025, 1:39:20 PM
