Patient joined the conference <5:11:37 PM> Anneliese - Doctor joined the conference <5:11:37 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay um so now we'll go ahead and move into some social History questions that we ask all patients but do you drink alcohol <5:12:02 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yes <5:12:04 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay tell me more about that <5:12:06 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: it um so I don't really drink very much on during the weekdays I drink more on the weekends really <5:12:17 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: oh okay how much do you drink on the weekends <5:12:18 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yes that's hard I honestly can't quantify it um <5:12:29 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yeah <5:12:29 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:12:32 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: mmm <5:12:34 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: I don't know just enough for fun you know just <5:12:37 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: enough to feel like I had a good weekend <5:12:37 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: I don't <5:12:41 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: know exactly how many I drink but most of the time I don't really remember <5:12:43 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: because <5:12:45 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: most of what happened so <5:12:47 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay so you're not exactly sure how much you drink but you think that it's enough that you're not really remembering your weekend <5:12:54 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: mm-hmm <5:12:58 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:12:58 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:12:59 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: um <5:13:01 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: no I do not <5:13:01 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: so you don't drink during the week though <5:13:06 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay um why do you drink <5:13:12 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yes <5:13:13 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: so much during the weekend but no drinking during the week <5:13:19 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: oh well like so you don't you don't drink during the week is there a reason why you choose not to drink during the week <5:13:20 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: and <5:13:20 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: um I just don't want to and it's more like a fun thing for me so it's a fun activity my husband and I go out with our friends over the weekend <5:13:38 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: and we have fun but during the week we're busy we're working so no really time for that <5:13:41 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay yeah what other kind of things do you do for fun <5:13:47 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: oh <5:13:52 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: if I <5:13:54 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay nice that's great <5:13:58 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: Lee hang out with family <5:14:01 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: you <5:14:07 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: so it seems like you're telling me that you kind of forget what's happening a lot of the weekends kind of a blur <5:14:20 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: um <5:14:21 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: tell me like more about that and like <5:14:23 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: I don't <5:14:23 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: well I think that's kind of how I gauge how much fun we have you know it's like I remember it too much it's a little bit like okay I guess I just didn't drink enough you know but um <5:14:26 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: how that's or like <5:14:29 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: I guess how you know it's fun if you're not really remembering it <5:14:33 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: so <5:14:39 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:14:44 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: do anything crazy or anything like that we just you know go out and hang out and drink and dance a little and you know yeah <5:14:52 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:14:54 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: dancing is a lot of fun for sure <5:14:54 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: here <5:14:57 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: um does this impact any part of your life <5:15:00 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: this mmm <5:15:03 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: here okay <5:15:05 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: not really know um yeah no kids I won't well sometimes I drive home but most of the time I don't drive home so I never like gotten pulled over anything like that for drinking but ya know I don't know I've had no problems at all <5:15:09 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: it <5:15:19 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:15:21 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: technique okay so tell me a little bit more about this driving after you've been drinking a little <5:15:23 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: I really Drive obviously because I go with my husband say he'll probably try but the few times that I've driven <5:15:39 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: made it home okay there's been no problem <5:15:41 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: it okay um when you drive home those few times when you've driven home has that been when you have only had like a drink or two over a few hours or would you say it's kind of the same same amount that you kind of normally have <5:15:42 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yeah <5:15:44 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: okay what I normally have it's like I don't really remember driving home but I know that I drove home because I remember I was home and I was driving but you know it just kind of the whole part of the weekend type of thing that I remember <5:16:04 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: I think <5:16:11 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay do you have any thoughts about <5:16:21 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: driving when you're drunk or how much alcohol you might be consuming in a weekend <5:16:30 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: you know I guess if I were to put a number on it <5:16:35 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: say anywhere from like 10 to 20 drinks depending on what The Vibes are you know <5:16:39 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: know okay yeah I guess sorry I might have misspoke but I guess like what are your thoughts around you know making the decision to drive when you have consumed alcohol <5:16:44 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yeah <5:16:57 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:16:59 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: honestly I don't think I really put very much thought into it because I haven't had to like I haven't been pulled over I <5:17:01 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: 10 <5:17:07 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: so if I make it home fine I don't worry about it so I haven't really made any thoughts as to whether or not I can or can't drive like because I've been fine enough to drive so far I've been home in one piece you know <5:17:08 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: and <5:17:15 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: yeah <5:17:23 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay so um is your concern with that just like not getting pulled over <5:17:24 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yeah essentially <5:17:30 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay are there any other negative impacts from driving drunk that you can think about <5:17:34 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: um accidents you know but I haven't been in an accident in 20 years <5:17:43 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: I think okay <5:17:49 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: yeah <5:17:51 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: um what might be some negative outcomes if you were to get in an accident <5:17:58 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: how to get hurt I guess people can't get hurt <5:18:02 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: um other people in a car or other cars <5:18:05 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: it's not <5:18:07 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: um yeah and then I would have to definitely impact my job <5:18:13 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: and I would have to figure out how to get a new car to get to and from work every day yeah that would be really annoying <5:18:18 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: oh yeah it would definitely <5:18:23 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: be annoying to have to get a new car maybe it would be <5:18:30 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: just <5:18:31 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: I mean I I don't think that you want to hurt other people do you think maybe we could work on a or do you think you're willing to work on <5:18:43 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: maybe changing the way you get home when you drink is that something that you'd be interested in talking about <5:18:51 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: I don't usually drives so I'm not really worried about that like my husband drinks some he just doesn't drink as much as I do so if he can drive home most of the time I guess that's not a big deal right <5:19:03 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: I think it would be better to have someone Drive who you know has consumed below the the legal limit of alcohol to drive or there's other options like just a completely designated driver or a Lyft or an Uber or something like that um maybe <5:19:04 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: okay <5:19:29 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: okay <5:19:29 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: but I know you said you don't do it all the time so just in the times that are kind of different <5:19:33 PM> Paul Hershberger: here <5:19:36 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: okay <5:19:41 PM> Olamide Oyeyemi - Patient: sorry that was so weird I didn't know what to say thank you <5:19:43 PM> Anneliese - Doctor: Oh no you're good ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Oct 17, 2025, 5:19:50 PM
