Patient: oh my gosh <9:47:00 PM> Travis - Patient: um well kind of a lot to be honest with you I mean <9:47:06 PM> Travis - Patient: probably since that's been what probably a year since I saw you I mean <9:47:12 PM> Travis - Patient: I mean not much is really changed all that much I mean work is still work still at the same job that I was before doing the delivery driving <9:47:18 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:47:22 PM> Travis - Patient: um <9:47:24 PM> Travis - Patient: yeah I mean not much as specifically changed I mean just trying to get by you know day-to-day things at home are still you know a little rocky but you know <9:47:34 PM> Travis - Patient: same old for me <9:47:36 PM> Travis - Patient: um seems like just in like the last <9:47:37 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: little rocky what do you mean <9:47:42 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:47:44 PM> Travis - Patient: year year and a half just my wife and I have just been you know fighting a lot more than <9:47:49 PM> Travis - Patient: so than usual I mean we've kind of always <9:47:52 PM> Travis - Patient: on that to some extent but it just seems like it's gotten more over the last you know like I said year year and a half just <9:48:00 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know just seems like you can't ever do anything right <9:48:05 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay how are you doing with that <9:48:06 PM> Travis - Patient: a dealing with it pretty much like I always have just <9:48:08 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:48:13 PM> Travis - Patient: have through it you know I focus on work and <9:48:18 PM> Travis - Patient: I've always been <9:48:18 PM> Travis - Patient: that's pretty much how I deal I don't <9:48:21 PM> Travis - Patient: pretty easy to to manage <9:48:24 PM> Travis - Patient: it's good <9:48:27 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: what's causing the the increase in arguments <9:48:29 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know just seems like <9:48:31 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: yeah <9:48:35 PM> Travis - Patient: lately she just hasn't really wanted to <9:48:38 PM> Travis - Patient: spend much time together just you know I feel like I try to do stuff and then she just gets mad at me just overall angry <9:48:47 PM> Travis - Patient: it's <9:48:47 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know I'm not really sure what's going on to be honest with you maybe it's just the midlife crisis I don't know it's <9:48:54 PM> Travis - Patient: hard to say it's just been <9:48:56 PM> Travis - Patient: to the point where it's like I think we're just you know both kind of over it I wish I had an explanation but <9:49:03 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know it's it's been rough <9:49:04 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: yeah and you mentioned you know <9:49:09 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: just living life and that just how you kind of just go through life and everything tell me what like you what do you like to do for fun or what Outlets do you do help deal with this <9:49:24 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:49:24 PM> Travis - Patient: here I mean <9:49:27 PM> Travis - Patient: live a pretty simple life I mean outside of work I just like to kind of keep to myself I like to watch my TV I like to you know have my cigar in the evenings when I get home I like to just kind of relax and kind of do my own thing and watch my sports you know nothing really crazy just the little things that kind of keep me <9:49:49 PM> Travis - Patient: keep me happy and that's that's usually what I do I just try to forget about everything <9:49:55 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: forget it forget about everything <9:49:58 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay it makes sense that makes sense <9:49:58 PM> Travis - Patient: forget everything as in I don't have to deal with it if I'm in my own little space <9:50:05 PM> Travis - Patient: yeah <9:50:06 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:50:08 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: you what concerns do you have for me today <9:50:13 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:50:14 PM> Travis - Patient: um I just figured it'd be a good idea just to come see us since it's been you know a year just to kind of check up on things I mean nothing <9:50:23 PM> Travis - Patient: nothing in particular <9:50:25 PM> Travis - Patient: I feel like I'm healthy <9:50:28 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:50:30 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: was stress been <9:50:33 PM> Travis - Patient: um I mean it gets rough I mean like I said even you know I try to do my my things like you know keep me distracted or things that keep me happy but I mean overall I feel like it's been okay I don't think it's really affected you know work so much <9:50:36 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay so it sounds like you're doing pretty pretty all right from that standpoint <9:50:51 PM> Travis - Patient: like I <9:50:51 PM> Travis - Patient: I'm still doing my daily stuff <9:50:54 PM> Travis - Patient: like I've always done so I don't feel like I feel like I've handled it pretty okay <9:51:02 PM> Travis - Patient: I think so <9:51:03 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:51:06 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: um <9:51:09 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: what is your what is your wife think about all the arguments you have <9:51:10 PM> Travis - Patient: um <9:51:17 PM> Travis - Patient: that's assumes we really have like straightforward conversations I feel like we more so just try to avoid each other for the most part <9:51:26 PM> Travis - Patient: and we've tried talking about it but like <9:51:30 PM> Travis - Patient: haven't really had a we haven't really sat down to have a meaningful conversation about it we just kind of <9:51:36 PM> Travis - Patient: sweep it under the rug and keep moving <9:51:40 PM> Travis - Patient: he hasn't really said anything about it I mean I think she mentioned at one point <9:51:45 PM> Travis - Patient: way down the line before like oh let's do some counseling or something I wasn't really you know interested in that and <9:51:47 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay <9:51:54 PM> Travis - Patient: I've <9:51:54 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know <9:51:56 PM> Travis - Patient: we've been trying to avoid it but you know we've been <9:52:00 PM> Travis - Patient: you know kind of talking about the d word that's kind of came up a few times as well so we're <9:52:00 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't <9:52:07 PM> Travis - Patient: so we're <9:52:09 PM> Travis - Patient: I can't really explain it <9:52:12 PM> Travis - Patient: I mean I just you know wasn't really something I was just interested in doing I didn't feel like we needed that I feel like you know counseling oh it's a last ditch effort you know that's throwing in the towel once the counseling starts so I just didn't want to get started down that road but you know looking back maybe you know maybe I should have but <9:52:12 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: so it sounds like she's attempted to do some couples counseling in the past but that's not really what <9:52:21 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: what you you have in mind for that <9:52:24 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: little tell me more it's been a lot <9:52:46 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know it's <9:52:49 PM> Travis - Patient: been a lot <9:52:50 PM> Travis - Patient: yeah just <9:52:54 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: so from what from what I'm hearing you know used to have a good connection you know life happens you know started to not communicate as much <9:52:57 PM> Travis - Patient: I'm just kind of thinking about like how we used to be like I feel like we were happy we did stuff together went out all the time and then <9:53:05 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know kind of as the kids got older you know they kind of started doing their own thing <9:53:11 PM> Travis - Patient: somewhere it just kind of disconnected and we just kind of <9:53:15 PM> Travis - Patient: morning as close as we used to be and <9:53:18 PM> Travis - Patient: I don't know I I wish I knew exactly what the answer was but at some point we just kind of grew apart it feels like and I <9:53:28 PM> Travis - Patient: guess we never really figured out how to <9:53:30 PM> Travis - Patient: bring that back I guess <9:53:33 PM> Travis - Patient: you <9:53:44 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: um <9:53:47 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: at some point you know maybe there was some attempts to try to communicate but again you you were not so much wanting to do counseling things like <9:54:01 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: how would you get back to <9:54:04 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: good communication <9:54:04 PM> Travis - Patient: yeah I mean <9:54:07 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: and a better relationship <9:54:10 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: mm-hmm <9:54:13 PM> Travis - Patient: I honestly have no clue I mean <9:54:18 PM> Travis - Patient: I guess you know we could try doing the counseling thing but I don't know I feel like we it might be too far gone now because I didn't take the opportunity before <9:54:19 PM> Paul Hershberger: we'll stop here <9:54:28 PM> Travis - Patient: like I said it's <9:54:32 PM> Travis - Patient: I feel like we just don't really have those type of conversations anymore but I guess that could be a place to start is just try to you know <9:54:40 PM> Travis - Patient: see if there's anything that both of us would be willing to try but that's <9:54:44 PM> Travis - Patient: honestly I can't think of anything else <9:54:47 PM> Travis - Patient: I'm sorry Alex I don't know if I did your patient just <9:54:48 PM> Alex Johnston - Doctor: okay ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Oct 27, 2025, 9:54:58 PM
