Doctor: results of the exam that we found <11:07:41 PM> Empress James - Patient: well I mean you know I'm not happy about it <11:07:47 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: yeah and definitely understand you not being happy about that but yeah we have had some declining Vision in the last few months and so last time we discussed maybe some glasses or even a corrective eye surgery so what are your thoughts about that <11:07:49 PM> Empress James - Patient: I guess my eyes are doing so well for what I could understand <11:08:14 PM> Empress James - Patient: I'm not sure how I really want to do anything about it it I've been dealing with my eyes my vision like this for so long <11:08:20 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: okay <11:08:28 PM> Empress James - Patient: I'm used to it <11:08:29 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: okay um <11:08:33 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: and so not wanting to do anything in and being used to it has it affected you in any way <11:08:37 PM> Empress James - Patient: well I do think it has you know it's definitely impacted the things I'm able to do and you know just moving around is harder when you can't really see I bump into things sometimes and <11:08:57 PM> Empress James - Patient: my grandchildren you know they look out for me but <11:09:01 PM> Empress James - Patient: I know I know I'm I'm dealing with some things <11:09:02 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: yeah um so here you say <11:09:10 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: that it has been affecting you and one example you gave is bumping into things <11:09:16 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: tell me more about that <11:09:17 PM> Empress James - Patient: well you know I mean sometimes I bump into the couch you know bump into my bed it's not a big thing the foot of my bed hurts so that that hurts but other than that it's okay <11:09:28 PM> Tamiel Murray - Patient: I I haven't really thought about it you know I I've been dealing with this I'm really busy you know I take care of my husband he's sick I help with my grandchildren <11:10:31 PM> Empress James - Patient: so I haven't really thought about that and you know I I am kind of busy like I said so is I don't have a lot of time to devote to that <11:10:42 PM> Empress James - Patient: I yeah <11:10:43 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: so can we explore that a little bit more <11:10:45 PM> Empress James - Patient: yeah I'm open to doing that <11:10:45 PM> Empress James - Patient: right <11:10:52 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: yeah so you you mentioned that you're pretty busy you are taking care of your husband as well as your grandchildren if you aren't able to see as well do you feel like that is affecting your ability to help them and in any way <11:10:54 PM> Empress James - Patient: now <11:10:55 PM> Empress James - Patient: oh I mean <11:11:15 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: mm-hmm <11:11:15 PM> Empress James - Patient: I haven't made any mistakes with my husband they had to teach me a lot you know at the hospital before they let him go and I think I take care of him well <11:11:24 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: okay I think that's great that you're you have been able to help him and be pretty consistent it sounds like with him but to go back to you mentioning like bumping into things has that affected your care for your husband at all <11:11:35 PM> Empress James - Patient: you know <11:11:51 PM> Empress James - Patient: it could it hasn't but I see what you're saying it could <11:11:58 PM> Empress James - Patient: I do have to you know <11:12:01 PM> Empress James - Patient: these days helped him with a lot of things and bring things to him and <11:12:07 PM> Empress James - Patient: I get it you know I'm doing a lot and maybe my vision could could hinder me one day <11:12:15 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: mm-hmm <11:12:16 PM> Empress James - Patient: well it sounds like y'all are saying I might go blind <11:12:18 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: um I mean that that is possible <11:12:23 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: what we know and like if as our vision changes it does hinder us to be able to do our daily activities and also for you it could hinder you with with caring for others around you <11:12:40 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: if <11:12:41 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: if you don't get any treatments or care for your eyes <11:12:47 PM> Tamiel Murray - Doctor: what would that look like for you <11:12:55 PM> Empress James -
