Doctor: know your medications and everything I've noticed that you you kind of should you haven't been taking some of your medications and you've been missing some doses and everything like and everything is that my understanding that correctly <3:08:54 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: here <3:09:07 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: experience yes you know doc I have <3:09:13 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: hypertension I have high blood sugar I have foot problems my neck hurts there's so much going on I had heart problems before <3:09:16 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: wow <3:09:24 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: so many medications I got to keep track of their every week I'm getting a call from the Farms to go put this up pick that up and there's just so much going on and there's so many pills bottles that I just lose tracks so you know I try my best to take them all obviously but you know I just lose track and there's sometimes I just get fed up with it and I'm just like the heck with it I'm just not gonna take any medications today for example and or some days I take one don't take the other and you know it it just is frustrating because there's just so much going on there's so much to keep track of <3:09:40 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: here <3:09:48 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: yeah that's you completely understandable and I'm sorry that it's and I understand that you're on a lot of medications and that's got to be frustrated there's a lot of meds what have you done to help kind of manage your medications <3:10:04 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: we <3:10:09 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: and <3:10:09 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: you know I got one of those boxes that you can put your pills in <3:10:18 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: and you know it's for each day of the week and you put it in you take it except you know I kind of you know there's so many medications that I just lose track to put him in the box and they're just so much work that goes even into separated them so I just kept it the way it is that's what I've done I tried to take all my medications in the morning but then there's some you have to take twice a day so you have to take three times a day so it's just all out of wax so I mean I tried different things but it's just so frustrating and hard <3:10:29 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: here <3:10:35 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: have you I know you've been on this medication for a little while have you found any ways that in the past that helped you manage this medication a little better or have you come across anything you think could be helpful to you <3:10:51 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: oh <3:11:02 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: you know I you know I I need to take some responsibility for this myself because there was a time where I was okay with taking these medications But as time went on and you know I got to a point where <3:11:19 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: just kind of got frustrated with my ailments and I got knee problems back problems just said the heck with it I don't want to do it now so it's mostly just you know kind of age I think catching up to me and that's what it was maybe in my younger days I would have been able to do it but now that I'm 60 years old it's a little bit more difficult for me to be able to you know take care of myself when I have so many problems and do daily tasks <3:11:21 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: it <3:11:28 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: um <3:11:48 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: how do you think I can help you with this with dealing with these medications and manage them there's plenty of resources out there but I'm just want to see kind of if you had any ideas would be easier to kind of manage all these medications <3:11:59 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: yeah <3:12:03 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: dark I think there's just too much going on with me it's difficult to manage I think you gave me some advice last time about you know working out and going to the gym kind of to get my weight under control and that helped a lot because I got more energy and I was able to keep track of my medications for a while but then you know I heard my knee and I have been able to work out and even though the pain is gone and I feel better now I just you know you know I'm feeling a little lazy myself so it's just you know don't want to really go out there and work out and you know get my energy back if that makes sense <3:12:06 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: people <3:12:16 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: here <3:12:23 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: okay <3:12:31 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: here <3:12:34 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: yeah I know you you should a couple times you know you have a lot going on what else shows the knee injury has been going on <3:12:46 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: yeah so I have work obviously during the week you know I work and you know when I'm not working I'm spending time with my family my daughter's about to get married so been dealing with a lot of that all the drama that comes with that so that's mainly you know what's going on my life <3:12:51 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: it <3:12:59 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: it <3:13:04 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: thank you <3:13:05 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: well congratulations on that and you you definitely have something you definitely have a lot going on a lot of exciting stuff just Greg congratulations that's big news but yeah there's definitely a lot to manage especially on top of all the medications that you're on <3:13:08 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: thank <3:13:08 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: yes <3:13:21 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: you have I guess <3:13:24 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: so you said you take your medications in the morning and someone mixed in the afternoon or anything do you ever take them at like a specific time or do you have an alarm or anything like that <3:13:26 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: you know I tried doing that um and <3:13:38 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: I didn't try an alarm but I tried taking them at a specific time but there's some medications that just you have to take twice a day so some days I take it maybe in the morning and then I forget it in the afternoon so then you know they tell me it doesn't work I mean I'm taking half of it should do something but you know that's what I do but you know I don't set alarm so that's why I forget a lot of times to take the second dose of medications you know metformin I know missed a few times the second dose mostly so maybe I could do that next time you know set an alarm to remind myself <3:14:03 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: besides for getting to you know Miss A brand to take a medication throughout the day are there any other issues that you've been running into with the medications <3:14:20 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: okay you know I mean <3:14:25 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: price is always a problem obviously you know there's so many medications you have to pay for it and insurance doesn't always help but you know even getting the medications is a little difficult just because sometimes you know you guys I know how it works you know you send it to the pharmacy they don't have it all at once so you have to put your time getting it you know I'm traveling a lot back and forth between the pharmacy getting my medications so that's been a problem but you know I think getting more energy you know if I start working out more as you recommend it and you know getting more energy I might be able to even do that in the future <3:14:29 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: yeah <3:14:42 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: good <3:14:52 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: yeah and I'm glad you brought that up to me that's also very helpful for me to know that it's not just an issue with <3:15:00 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: thank you for saying that <3:15:08 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: going to take it just getting access to it which is an issue unfortunately a lot of people have been have to deal with and there are plenty of there are a lot of <3:15:17 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: there are a lot of great resources out there and I think there's some stuff we can provide at a clinic that might be able to help with that what Transportation do you have <3:15:17 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: you know <3:15:24 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: so when <3:15:24 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: you know I I can't drive anymore as much just because of my eyesight and everything so my daughter actually drives me <3:15:27 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: get to the to get to CVS or wherever you pick up your medication <3:15:35 PM> Patrick Ruz - Doctor: okay <3:15:40 PM> Pedram Pouladvand - Patient: tree I get to go ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Nov 25, 2025, 3:15:45 PM
