Doctor: and <7:13:41 PM> Rachel - Doctor: and prescribed a lot of medications for <7:13:41 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: this <7:13:45 PM> Rachel - Doctor: I've been kind of hearing some of your frustrations about <7:13:48 PM> Rachel - Doctor: um all these medications and how difficult it's been to kind of keep track of all of them is is that correct <7:13:52 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: oh <7:13:57 PM> Rachel - Doctor: yeah <7:13:58 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: it's <7:14:00 PM> Rachel - Doctor: and what else can you kind of tell me about everything that's been going on <7:14:08 PM> Rachel - Doctor: um <7:14:10 PM> Rachel - Doctor: what's been more difficult for you lately <7:14:11 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I just <7:14:13 PM> Rachel - Doctor: yeah <7:14:16 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I just don't know you guys give me so many pills that I need to try and consistently take and <7:14:24 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: it's just so hard to try and adhere to that schedule I mean you want me taking these three pills in the morning only this one in the afternoon and like there's seven pills at night and just trying to keep track of each one that this one I only take once a week but this one I take three times a week <7:14:31 PM> Rachel - Doctor: you know <7:14:31 PM> Rachel - Doctor: yeah it's definitely a lot manage on your own and <7:14:44 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: it's just it's a lot to try and manage on my own here and I just I'm so fed up with this so sure of course I'm gonna miss a dose here and there I mean who wouldn't think about how many medications there are like I can't keep track of all of that <7:15:07 PM> Rachel - Doctor: of having to <7:15:09 PM> Rachel - Doctor: take this once a week and <7:15:13 PM> Rachel - Doctor: so many have to take during the day and such a strange schedule certain things and doing it all by yourself it's a lot <7:15:25 PM> Rachel - Doctor: is is there anybody that <7:15:33 PM> Rachel - Doctor: two and kind of managing all this <7:15:34 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: my daughter helped me out I better not show show he'll come over and try and sort my pills for me but <7:15:46 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: she's not always able to make it out there so that's that's typically what I'm really struggling to actually adhere to my my medical schedule with all those medications I need to take but when she's there to help me she's able to read all the labels really clearly and actually I've got a little pill container that shall put them into <7:16:10 PM> Rachel - Doctor: mm-hmm <7:16:10 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: that'll help me for a week or two but then if she's not able to come out and help me out I don't even try I I can't read all these labels there's there's too many confusing directions on them so I just don't even worry about it <7:16:28 PM> Rachel - Doctor: when she's not able to get out there does she kind of know about <7:16:31 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: know I've been I've been saying that I've been getting by to her so I'm not always the most truthful with my daughter unfortunately but she she's a saying she helps me out whenever whenever I ask for it <7:16:35 PM> Rachel - Doctor: the way that you're you're struggling with all this by yourself <7:16:54 PM> Rachel - Doctor: why do you feel like you're an inconvenience store <7:16:55 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I just don't want to be an inconvenience to I don't want to be a burden to anyone <7:17:00 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I mean she's she has to come out all the way it's not a short drive I'm not it's not like I'm around the corner I'm about 30 40 minutes away she's got her own family to worry about as well and I don't want to inconvenience them I want her to be able to live her life and have a good time with it not have to worry about her old man <7:17:18 PM> Rachel - Doctor: mm-hmm <7:17:29 PM> Rachel - Doctor: I mean what do you think she would say a few talk to her about this <7:17:29 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I should be she'd be upset with me that I'm not taking my medications I know that <7:17:34 PM> Rachel - Doctor: mmm <7:17:39 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I don't know again I'm just worried that she's gonna <7:17:41 PM> Rachel - Doctor: I mean what what do you think <7:17:46 PM> Rachel - Doctor: what happened if you kind of did talk to her about this <7:17:50 PM> Rachel - Doctor: would it look like if you <7:17:55 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: just have to come out more frequently and then <7:17:55 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I'm just <7:18:00 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: going to be eating up more of her time I don't want to put that bird in on her <7:18:10 PM> Rachel - Doctor: to you know missing doses of your medications <7:18:17 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: and I don't really know I mean you guys you guys have been giving me all these medications and tell me all these diseases that I have but <7:18:29 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: probably <7:18:30 PM> Rachel - Doctor: mm-hmm <7:18:31 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: probably wouldn't be good <7:18:31 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: but <7:18:34 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I mean how much longer am I really going to live now I'm already 60 years old like I'm probably I'm probably on my way out anyway <7:18:35 PM> Rachel - Doctor: how do you feel when you miss a couple doses of your medications have you ever had any bad side effects from from when that happens <7:18:46 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: so I don't I don't really know if taking these medications is going to make that much of a difference <7:19:02 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: know <7:19:08 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: I had I had a heart attack a couple years ago <7:19:10 PM> Rachel - Doctor: mm-hmm <7:19:12 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: um and definitely wasn't taking my medications very consistently with that but I don't know if those are <7:19:13 PM> Rachel - Doctor: what was that what was that experience like for you <7:19:21 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: ate it or not that was just something that happened recently though <7:19:25 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: it was hard definitely was hard on my family as well <7:19:36 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: my daughter bless her soul wasn't as soon as she found out I wasn't taking my medication she got on me again but again I just don't want to be a burden to her <7:19:49 PM> Rachel - Doctor: do you think that's something that might happen again if <7:19:52 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: he could that happen again if I don't keep taking my medications <7:19:56 PM> Rachel - Doctor: just keeps continuing on <7:20:04 PM> Rachel - Doctor: I mean <7:20:09 PM> Isaac Stokes - Patient: just <7:20:10 PM> Rachel -
