Doctor: more on this situation <2:49:42 PM> Sheena - Patient: um well it's just a lot to deal with and to try and figure out the different types of medications <2:49:55 PM> Sheena - Patient: and I just don't particularly like taking meds <2:49:59 PM> Sheena - Patient: up because it's a lot to remember <2:50:01 PM> James Dai - Doctor: give me give me more reasons why you don't like to take meds <2:50:11 PM> Sheena - Patient: know it's just it's a lot to try and remember to take the meds <2:50:12 PM> James Dai - Doctor: any other reasons <2:50:16 PM> James Dai - Doctor: car charger so it sounds like you know so many medications is sometimes hard for you to keep track do you do you have any problems taking all of them like on schedule anything like that <2:50:23 PM> Sheena - Patient: it's not I take them just fine I don't have an issue with swallowing that's not it it's just a lot to try and <2:50:31 PM> Sheena - Patient: um remember get up in the morning and try to take meds <2:50:36 PM> Sheena - Patient: um <2:50:51 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay <2:50:55 PM> Sheena - Patient: do I have a problem taken them on schedule <2:50:59 PM> Sheena - Patient: um I mean I guess if I set an alarm then I'll remember to take them <2:51:05 PM> Sheena - Patient: but other than that um <2:51:09 PM> Sheena - Patient: it's just hard <2:51:16 PM> James Dai - Doctor: tell me <2:51:16 PM> James Dai - Doctor: so she now can you <2:51:20 PM> James Dai - Doctor: is that if you take all of the amount of time what are some potential benefits that you see <2:51:21 PM> Sheena - Patient: I mean I don't really know I feel fine in a regular basis so it's hard for me to even really <2:51:27 PM> James Dai - Doctor: gotcha <2:51:33 PM> Sheena - Patient: um <2:51:35 PM> Sheena - Patient: sometimes when I don't take it and I don't feel any different <2:51:42 PM> James Dai - Doctor: so um <2:51:46 PM> James Dai - Doctor: let's say that you know you don't take them on time you know you have you know type 2 diabetes of hypertension all that let's say you don't take those medications and then later on you know some of the numbers went out of control what what are some impact on your life you think you'll have <2:51:47 PM> Sheena - Patient: um I guess from what I remember diabetes can be pretty bad <2:52:02 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay and do you think of anything that you know it's going to affect your exactly in life specifically <2:52:15 PM> Sheena - Patient: B um <2:52:20 PM> James Dai - Doctor: gotcha and you know <2:52:24 PM> Sheena - Patient: I mean like I don't want to get my foot cut off and stuff like that like I've seen some people do with diabetes <2:52:35 PM> James Dai - Doctor: a certainly we also want to see that so <2:52:38 PM> James Dai - Doctor: with that in mind How likely would you say that you want to keep taking those meds to prevent them from happening <2:52:39 PM> Sheena - Patient: um <2:52:47 PM> James Dai - Doctor: maybe a six gotcha um <2:52:51 PM> Sheena - Patient: I mean I'm really scared about it so maybe <2:52:57 PM> Sheena - Patient: I would say <2:53:00 PM> Sheena - Patient: here six <2:53:04 PM> Sheena - Patient: um I like to exercise <2:53:07 PM> James Dai - Doctor: other than not you know topic with medication you know we also don't want you know to put patient on <2:53:16 PM> James Dai - Doctor: a horrendous long list of medication so sometimes we also recommend lifestyle changes that can help you cut off some of the medication if the numbers look really good <2:53:31 PM> James Dai - Doctor: so you know things like that exercise how's that sound like to you <2:53:36 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay <2:53:43 PM> James Dai - Doctor: what <2:53:45 PM> James Dai - Doctor: what was would you have a plan for it how much you're going to exercise <2:53:47 PM> Sheena - Patient: um <2:53:54 PM> Sheena - Patient: I mean I like to jog and stuff sometimes <2:53:54 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay <2:54:04 PM> James Dai - Doctor: and what about diet <2:54:05 PM> Sheena - Patient: I love eating lots of fruits <2:54:07 PM> James Dai - Doctor: gotcha and <2:54:15 PM> James Dai - Doctor: what if let's say that you know you put some changes on your diet and exercise and later on we could maybe cut off some of those medications how does that sound like to you <2:54:26 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay <2:54:27 PM> Sheena - Patient: I don't hate the idea <2:54:34 PM> James Dai - Doctor: so <2:54:37 PM> James Dai - Doctor: exactly are some changes that you can think for a diet and exercise <2:54:43 PM> James Dai - Doctor: gotcha and what about exercise <2:54:44 PM> Sheena - Patient: for my diet and exercise I mean <2:54:54 PM> Sheena - Patient: I can try to eat more vegetables <2:54:58 PM> Sheena - Patient: I like eating fruits and vegetables so I could try to eat more of that <2:55:04 PM> Sheena - Patient: it's hard for me to do it sometimes I'm not really motivated so maybe if I had someone to do it with me <2:55:10 PM> James Dai - Doctor: gotcha so it sounds like um you know we have some planning for diet changes which is good you know fruits and vegetables always good to have them and paint the elaborate more on you know the exercise and like and it's a hard for you to find someone <2:55:38 PM> Sheena - Patient: here sometimes <2:55:40 PM> Paul Hershberger: we'll stop here <2:55:40 PM> James Dai - Doctor: okay <2:55:42 PM> Sheena - Patient: no one really seems to want to exercise with me ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Dec 8, 2025, 2:55:54 PM
