Patient joined the conference <3:06:33 PM> Sheena - Doctor joined the conference <3:06:33 PM> Paul Hershberger joined the conference <3:06:34 PM> Sheena - Doctor: okay <3:06:41 PM> James Dai - Patient: okay yeah so Harrison overall pretty active <3:06:49 PM> Sheena - Doctor: great um so thank you for coming in to talk about Harrison just wanted to check in and see how things have been going with his Eden and activity <3:07:15 PM> James Dai - Patient: anything I am concerned is <3:07:19 PM> James Dai - Patient: like eating he is he's pretty picky he chews what he wants basically <3:07:26 PM> James Dai - Patient: he gave me a hard time if you know <3:07:26 PM> James Dai - Patient: he <3:07:30 PM> James Dai - Patient: what he wants and which I try to give him like you know fruits and vegetables but he's he's won't eat him and then if I if I don't give like his first snacks you just like <3:07:42 PM> James Dai - Patient: social time potentials here and then so it's been it's been really hard getting him to eat like <3:07:49 PM> James Dai - Patient: recently <3:07:49 PM> James Dai - Patient: healthy wise and you know he's <3:07:53 PM> James Dai - Patient: being drinking soda as well so I think that's the most concerning thing <3:07:55 PM> Sheena - Doctor: okay um yes thank you for sharing that does sound frustrated or exhausted sounds like you're trying to do what you can to keep him happy and healthy <3:07:58 PM> James Dai - Patient: uh schools mostly find a reasonably he told me that he doesn't want to play with his friends anymore because if they found his way so you know <3:08:13 PM> Sheena - Doctor: and notice it um his patterns with with Eden and so how has he been doing in school <3:08:27 PM> Sheena - Doctor: mm-hmm yeah and we did notice with his with his weight is that it's been <3:08:38 PM> James Dai - Patient: that's why I was trying to you know get me healthy but <3:08:53 PM> Sheena - Doctor: increasing more than we would like for his age with him being in the 95th percentile and his height in the 50th percentile and I can show you what that looks like on this chart and it sounds like from your perspective you have also noticed it too what do you think is <3:08:56 PM> James Dai - Patient: he just really picky and he know what he wants and he's good at <3:09:14 PM> Sheena - Doctor: um <3:09:17 PM> Sheena - Doctor: what do you think is the difficult part about getting him to to eat healthier or to eat differently <3:09:36 PM> James Dai - Patient: you know <3:09:37 PM> James Dai - Patient: he's good I getting what he wants because like if he don't get what he wants he was just throw time for ten rooms and like kind of force us to give her him like the snacks that he wants and <3:09:54 PM> James Dai - Patient: kind of <3:09:54 PM> James Dai - Patient: just been really hard to <3:09:57 PM> James Dai - Patient: can't force him to eat you know so that's why I was like kind of hard <3:09:59 PM> Sheena - Doctor: okay um and then what do you think <3:09:59 PM> Sheena - Doctor: might <3:10:02 PM> James Dai - Patient: yay <3:10:07 PM> Sheena - Doctor: what do you think might make it easier <3:10:08 PM> James Dai - Patient: um <3:10:14 PM> James Dai - Patient: I don't know maybe maybe you know the doctor can you know you can talk to him be like hey <3:10:22 PM> James Dai - Patient: not just your parents but I'm also concerned you know maybe he can like hear from a different perspective because he's kind of tired of his dad talking to all the time <3:10:28 PM> Sheena - Doctor: up okay <3:10:31 PM> James Dai - Patient: I would like to try once I mean trying to get him eat healthy but I love to try anything <3:10:33 PM> Sheena - Doctor: all right <3:10:35 PM> Sheena - Doctor: is there or what do you how do you feel about <3:10:44 PM> Sheena - Doctor: discussing different things that we may be able to implement or try to <3:10:55 PM> Sheena - Doctor: um helped him to improve in his diet and exercise <3:11:08 PM> Sheena - Doctor: what are some things that you've already tried <3:11:09 PM> James Dai - Patient: so we try giving him like fruits and vegetables he just don't he will just he would just not eat them we try to cut snacks and he would like throw like temper tantrum so <3:11:27 PM> James Dai - Patient: so yeah is we tried <3:11:29 PM> Sheena - Doctor: okay um yes so when you say that you've tried to give him healthy foods <3:11:30 PM> James Dai - Patient: hi there he was just not eat them in the rest of stuff <3:11:40 PM> Sheena - Doctor: um have you <3:11:42 PM> Sheena - Doctor: also tried <3:11:47 PM> Sheena - Doctor: like routines or Limited in certain drinks in one drink or replacing replacing one thing that you want him to not have with something that you want him to have <3:11:59 PM> Sheena - Doctor: okay and I can understand that that is probably very difficult in terms of trying to make that balance between making him happy as well as <3:12:19 PM> Sheena - Doctor: him to eat healthy some of the things that I would like to try with you is limit in like soda and sugary drinks maybe having some routines and exercises and helping him to find stuff that he enjoys <3:12:36 PM> Sheena - Doctor: um which one of these sound like it might be <3:12:41 PM> Sheena - Doctor: possible to to try as a as a first step <3:12:49 PM> James Dai - Patient: um <3:12:51 PM> James Dai - Patient: you know <3:12:51 PM> James Dai - Patient: I mean exercise sounds good but I don't know if giving his weight like <3:12:56 PM> James Dai - Patient: is a safe home to exercise <3:12:59 PM> James Dai - Patient: about like you know pressure on his joints and like bones all that stuff <3:13:02 PM> Sheena - Doctor: so we could definitely start off with little things and build up to it but exercise would <3:13:14 PM> Sheena - Doctor: be very good for his joins because as he starts to strengthen <3:13:14 PM> Sheena - Doctor: his <3:13:19 PM> Sheena - Doctor: he starts with strength in his muscle and lose the weights that would be good for him in the long run so if that's something that you want to us to choose as a starting point <3:13:32 PM> Sheena - Doctor: could be a good route for success <3:13:34 PM> Paul Hershberger: will stop here ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Dec 8, 2025, 3:13:37 PM
