Patient joined the conference <6:09:16 PM> Cassidy- Doctor joined the conference <6:09:16 PM> Mallory joined the conference <6:09:17 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: alright hello Hannah nice to see you today <6:09:17 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: so <6:09:24 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: to get started I'd like to ask you some more questions about your alcohol use to get a good idea of any factors that could be impacting your health or medications today what can you tell me about a normal week for your normal alcohol use <6:09:45 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay um so it sounds like not drinking as much during the week with your work do you drink every weekend or is it some weekends <6:09:46 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah so <6:09:46 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean I <6:09:48 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: really drink during the week at all because it got to get up early for work <6:09:55 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: so no drinks really at all <6:09:58 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: during the week but on the weekends I'll indulge in a few drinks some going out with friends <6:10:05 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah <6:10:07 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean most weekends when people are doing things there will be an occasional weekend we just want to stay in but <6:10:18 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay and when you say a few drinks <6:10:18 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: like <6:10:26 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: if I'm going out I'll have a few drinks <6:10:33 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: do you drink and how much <6:10:35 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um I really like mixed drinks I'll have a few of those but not not that many like four or five <6:10:40 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay um <6:10:49 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and four or five drinks is that on one weekend day or <6:10:54 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:10:54 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: two weekend days usually <6:10:57 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:10:59 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: Friday and Saturday probably yeah not really on Sunday <6:11:05 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: quote <6:11:06 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and <6:11:08 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: um <6:11:09 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean in college we were out all the time so <6:11:10 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: have you always drink that amount or has there been any changes in the amount that about alcohol that you drink <6:11:17 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: oh okay so cut down from college to where you are current drinking right now have you ever like tried to change the amount that you drink <6:11:21 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: feel like I've definitely cut down <6:11:24 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean not really I didn't I don't really think it's that big of a problem <6:11:35 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: mm-hmm <6:11:42 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:11:42 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: do you know what the kind of recommendations are for a low-risk drinking <6:11:49 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: is it okay if I share that information with you <6:11:52 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: not specifically but probably a little less than where I am right now <6:11:58 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: sure <6:12:02 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay um so generally we see low risk drinking causing less effects for your health and lower risk of having health effects from drinking for women that's usually seven drinks in a week and no more than three drinks in a single day so um <6:12:03 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: here yeah I mean I guess that's <6:12:25 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: what you're telling me is drinking five drinks on weekend days which is a little higher than what we would normally recommend for low-risk drinking <6:12:35 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: how <6:12:36 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: does that information I guess make you feel or think about your current drinking <6:12:49 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: but I feel like it's kind of hard to change that when everyone around me is also drinking that much <6:12:56 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it doesn't seem as bad <6:12:59 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah because when everyone's going to the bar they'll be like do you want to drink and so usually of around the same numbers <6:12:59 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: do you find that you drink about the same amount as other people around you <6:13:06 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:13:14 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:13:15 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and have you ever ridden in a car with somebody who including yourself who had drink <6:13:24 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: been impaired <6:13:27 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah I feel like <6:13:30 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: super and at this point like in your life and what you're doing what do you like about drinking and going out on the weekends with your friends <6:13:31 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: have had one or two maybe even three I've driven home a few times but I try and wait <6:13:39 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: like a few hours until getting in a car <6:13:43 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it's just a social thing I mean everyone's doing it if you don't like everyone's having so much fun why would I want to be left out of that <6:14:05 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and what if anything concerns you about the amount that you drink <6:14:10 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:14:15 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean I guess hearing those things that you talked about earlier <6:14:19 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it's a little concerning but <6:14:22 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: nobody else around me really seems that concerned about it <6:14:28 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: yeah has anyone ever liked commented on the amount that you drink or suggested that you should drink less <6:14:33 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:14:38 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: yeah okay and do you notice any negative effects from drinking <6:14:39 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: no not really not my friends not my spouse <6:14:43 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: maybe my parents but <6:14:46 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I'm an adult <6:14:53 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:14:54 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I don't feel pretty bad the next day sometimes <6:14:55 PM> Mallory joined the conference <6:14:58 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it <6:14:59 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I don't get terrible hangovers <6:15:04 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: so when you feel bad what does that look like for you <6:15:06 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: just a headache I'm just kind of tired the next day <6:15:13 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it no <6:15:13 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay and have you ever had any legal problems related to drinking <6:15:18 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:15:20 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah I tried to take Ubers when I can so <6:15:21 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: um <6:15:22 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: so we would recommend not you know driving after drinking like you kind of said that has happened sometimes <6:15:31 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: in those situations is there ever somebody with you who <6:15:32 PM> Mallory left the conference <6:15:36 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: like would be less imperative able to drive or solutions that you think could be safer <6:15:47 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I definitely will continue to do that ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jan 20, 2026, 6:15:52 PM
