Patient: uh okay I mean <6:35:10 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:35:12 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it's kind of cold out right now so I don't really want to be working out or leaving my house so <6:35:20 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: not much has changed <6:35:23 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: uh yeah there's just so many of them I can't keep them straight I don't even know <6:35:24 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: human today your blood pressure I noticed was a little bit higher than it was last time <6:35:32 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: how are you doing with taking your medications every day <6:35:43 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: what they are honestly <6:35:46 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: end <6:35:47 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it's pretty <6:35:47 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: it's kind of hard to remember when to take which one because some of them you have to take two dimes a day and <6:35:54 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: you for me to forgive so I haven't been doing too good about that <6:35:58 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: how <6:35:58 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: on a scale of like 0 to 10 0 not being important 10 being like the most important <6:35:58 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean I feel the same so but I know like you're gonna say that they're really important to take <6:36:08 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: important do you think it is for you to take your medications for your health <6:36:21 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um <6:36:22 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: here like a six or seven I really don't feel any difference <6:36:23 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: yeah <6:36:28 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I guess I'll just end up like the rest of my family I mean it's hereditary and runs in the family <6:36:30 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: it's um understandable that you don't feel different on the medication <6:36:36 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: we've talked about some of this before but the chronic medical conditions that you have like hypertension diabetes you might not have any symptoms from them so it's not taking the medication isn't helping you feel better but what we are trying to do is help reduce your risk of having heart like a heart attack a stroke and other health complications in the future <6:37:03 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: what do you see as the <6:37:05 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: what do you see happening if your diabetes and hypertension <6:37:11 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: you without improving <6:37:21 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: have <6:37:21 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: so I mean they're all fine they go <6:37:25 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: a health <6:37:25 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: surgery sometimes or might have <6:37:29 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: care but <6:37:30 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: that's just part of life I guess <6:37:33 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah yeah I guess to me that doesn't sound fun and I'm like to be able to keep up with <6:37:33 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: like <6:37:35 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: so I'm hearing you say that you have a lot of family history of kind of hypertension heart disease <6:37:46 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: how would you feel about you know having the same kind of Health consequences as your family needing surgeries and having other <6:37:58 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: health problems <6:38:05 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: young kids things like that but <6:38:06 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: know <6:38:08 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I don't know <6:38:11 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: oh they like to go to the park and <6:38:12 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: like to do with your grandkids <6:38:17 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: you know go on little shopping trips or something <6:38:21 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah I'd say so <6:38:22 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and is that something that you like to do with them <6:38:27 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay <6:38:30 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: and are you able to like engage in those activities the way that you'd like to <6:38:31 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean definitely can't walk as fast as them <6:38:35 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: you feel like your households you back at all <6:38:44 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah they're pretty busy <6:38:47 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: easier for me to get tired so <6:38:50 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah <6:38:51 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I'd say it holds us back a little bit <6:38:57 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: do you think improving your health is important to <6:39:00 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah I guess it would help me be able to keep up warm <6:39:02 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: being able to be there with your grandkids how you'd like <6:39:14 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I mean the food that I eat tastes good and it's easy it's usually something I pick up <6:39:14 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: what's something that you like about your current <6:39:22 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: activity level and your current diet <6:39:34 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: when I'm out and about <6:39:38 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: yeah <6:39:42 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: pretty much it I mean I like <6:39:45 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I like to watch TV <6:39:50 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: you know <6:39:50 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: so that's understandable I mean a lot of the foods we like are <6:39:55 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: I feel like <6:39:55 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: okay well I would like to keep up with the kids more so maybe I'll start walking or something <6:39:56 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: of the most nutritious and maybe not the best for our health but it's also important to have you know balance and need things that you like <6:40:07 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: of them <6:40:08 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: what changes could you see yourself making related to your diet or exercise <6:40:24 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: diet <6:40:26 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: is a hard one to change <6:40:28 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: um I like my sweets but maybe I could watch that <6:40:34 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: like walking would be a good first thing so maybe <6:40:35 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: how ready do you feel to make a change in your activity like walking more on a scale from zero to ten <6:40:44 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: here and what would that look like <6:40:44 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: for <6:40:48 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: a seven <6:40:50 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: just walk up and down the street maybe once a day <6:40:59 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: a few times for at least 10 minutes <6:41:01 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: okay that sounds like a good plan to get started and next time you come in we can follow up on that and see how you're doing with increasing some of your activity <6:41:03 PM> Hannah DeRespiris - Patient: that sounds good <6:41:16 PM> Cassidy- Doctor: hmm ________________________________________________________________________________ End of transcript at Jan 20, 2026, 6:41:20 PM
