Patient: not that I can think of <6:24:32 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay are you currently taking any medications or anything you want to discuss with us <6:24:37 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: I'm just on medication for my blood pressure and a multivitamin but nothing else I'm pretty healthy <6:24:41 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay good good all right I know that from your chart I see that um you are not a smoker but have you picked up smoking at all recently <6:24:50 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: no I've never smoked I I don't I think that's a gross habit <6:25:02 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay how about alcohol usage <6:25:07 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um I drink sometimes I don't drink at all during the week but I do drink a little bit on the weekends I just like to have fun my job's pretty stressful during the weekend it just helps me relax and kind of forget about some of the stresses during the week <6:25:10 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay um can you tell me a little bit more about like how much are you drinking on the weekends typically <6:25:31 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um <6:25:38 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay how many drinks are you drinking on the weekends <6:25:39 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: up a normal amount like I socially drink on the weekends with my wife or my husband likes to drink too so I usually go out and drink with him or my friends sometimes <6:25:58 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: oh gosh um <6:26:02 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay um <6:26:05 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: it kind of depends I like lots of different kinds drinks I like wine I like here I like different Liquors <6:26:16 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: and <6:26:18 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: honestly if I'm being really honest I sometimes I don't even remember how much I drink because I kind of <6:26:27 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: blackout essentially <6:26:30 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um yeah most weekends <6:26:33 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: is this every weekend that you feel like you're blocking out <6:26:36 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay how are you feeling the next day <6:26:39 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: tone <6:27:05 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: really just drink mostly on like Saturday a little bit sad day I try and <6:27:10 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: this is what do you enjoy the most about drinking on the weekends <6:27:11 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: down because I know I have to go into the office on Monday <6:27:15 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um like I said really just my job I was stressful during the week <6:27:27 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: and <6:27:28 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: that and <6:27:28 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: know I've I'm married and I have kids and so I have to keep up with their schedules and sometimes I just want to forget about all of <6:27:39 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: when I drink I just feel relaxed I don't feel as ancient and it just takes my mind off of all those other stressors <6:27:48 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay how often do you not like remember parts of the night I know you mentioned that you kind of black out <6:27:52 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um <6:27:58 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay um <6:27:58 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: how <6:28:01 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: it probably most weekends <6:28:08 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: like what usually happens on those nights like do you just like blackout and then wake up in the next morning or like what what's kind of going on <6:28:15 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um like I said I'll drink with my my husband but then you know hell usually go to bed and then I still do drink after that and like I said I'll just drink to the point where I I don't remember but I wake up the next morning and I feel horrible <6:28:17 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: what do you currently really like about your drinking habits <6:28:38 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: but it does take my mind off of things when I am drinking <6:28:45 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: I don't know if I'd say like it because it is a little <6:28:54 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: bearish when I say I black out but <6:28:57 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay is there anything that you don't like about your current drinking habits on the weekends <6:28:58 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: like I said really just to relieve stress <6:29:06 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: I don't like that I drink after my husband goes to bed because I know people say you really shouldn't drink alone and that can be a sign that you have a problem although I don't know I wouldn't say I'm an addict but <6:29:17 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay um I know you mentioned that you don't really like how you feel the next day like does that make you want to drink more less like does that how does that make you feel about your habits the next weekend <6:29:24 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: I definitely I don't like how I feel the next morning when I wake up <6:29:31 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: so yeah those are the things I don't like <6:29:45 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um I think <6:29:46 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay have you tried doing other things to help you relax and help you kind of de-stress from work <6:29:49 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: I I don't like the way I feel when I wake up but I end up drinking later on in that day again <6:29:56 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: as I I just want to forget things so it's kind of like a vicious cycle I keep myself in <6:30:07 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: um like I said I don't have many other vices I don't smoke I don't gamble alcohol is really my main go-to in terms of what I like to do on the weekends <6:30:09 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: mmm have you ever thought about making any changes to that or doing something different on the weekends like what what are your thoughts what do you think <6:30:30 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: like I said I don't I don't think of myself as like a full-blown addict so it's crossed my mind a few times like maybe I should try and tone it back on the drinking but I don't know if I'm ready to cut it out entirely right right this moment <6:30:46 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay um I know that like you currently don't like the idea of blocking out like that is something that really bothers you and you're not necessarily <6:31:04 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: um concerned about like you're drinking habits or like really making a deep change but how ready are you with regards to making a change about just the blacking out portion <6:31:13 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: how you mean like trying to cut down on drinking so I don't end up blacking out um <6:31:20 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: yes <6:31:24 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: 4 <6:31:24 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: feel like <6:31:26 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: super ready to change right yet but I definitely am thinking about it more after we've been talking about it <6:31:46 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: oh like I said probably just maybe <6:31:56 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: hot drinking a few less drinks on the weekends like I still want to drink but <6:31:56 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: maybe <6:32:02 PM> Caroline Watts - Patient: like like I said I don't like that after my husband goes to bed that I continued drinking so probably working on that only drinking if I'm around other people <6:32:13 PM> Danielle K- Doctor: okay I know that you mentioned that you're in Thoughts with regards to kind of cutting back if you were to start doing that you know in the next week or two what do you think the first steps would be for you <6:32:23 PM> Caroline Watts -
